This book sucked me in quick. It is pretty dark (I mean it is m@f!@, and he is an enforcer, soooo...).... and some moments had me tense because oouucchhh lol. I was so heartbroken for Tex. He just wanted to matter and once he found it he could never let it go. And Enzo... well he is beautifully unhinged... and I love that everyone lets him be him while making sure it doesn't go tttooooo far. I also loved that no one batted an eye about the guys being together... because I am here for more people getting to just live in a world where people are people and love is love and the problem is incompatible professions.

Take Me Apart by Brea Alepou and Skyler Snow is the explosive first book in the Vitale Brothers series—a filthy, tension-filled ride where danger and desire collide.Enzo Vitale is the youngest brother in a brutal crime empire. Cold, calculating, and deadly, he’s a man who thrives on precision and control—traits sharpened by his neurodivergence and a lifetime of bloodshed. But when he meets Tex, a gorgeous, determined cop with something to prove, that control is shattered in the most dangerous way possible. Enzo doesn’t just want him—he needs him.Tex is hungry for a promotion, and taking down the Vitale family is his golden opportunity. Getting close to Enzo should be a strategic move—just another step toward his goal. But from the moment their eyes lock in a club dripping with sin, it’s clear this isn’t just a case anymore. It’s obsession.Their chemistry is magnetic, their connection filthy and raw. One moment they’re tearing each other apart in the sheets, the next they’re trying not to destroy each other outside of them. Enzo is torn between claiming Tex or eliminating him. Tex battles with his conscience—and his desire—as he sinks deeper into Enzo’s world. It’s push and pull, blood and lust, with every encounter more intense than the last. Lines blur, rules break, and by the time they realize it’s more than just heat between them, it might already be too late.

VERY INTENSE
Wasn’t sure about this book in the beginning. I got snagged and couldn’t stop reading. Loved Enzo’s devotion for Tex. Was a little gory but fantastic.

Aaaand now I'm invested!
So happy that there is an entire MM universe written by these two authors! This was my first book by them and it did not disappoint. What is better than 1 cat dad? 2 cat daddies! Add in forbidden attraction, enemies to lovers, unhindged MMCs, suspense and intrigue...perfection! Can't wait to read the brothers books. The audiobook was so good too. Top tier performance by 1 narrator that felt like a duet.

Unexpected
This book absolutely melts my heart. The softness displayed by Enzo had me awwing every damn second. His brothers made me laugh at their over protectiveness of him and I loved that. Totally worth the read

Ahhhh
I loved this book so much. It was the perfect dark romance and I ate it up. And it was a mxm so I loved it even more. You have a cop Tex who dreams of being a detective like his hero dad and then you have Enzo the psychopath mobster who belongs to the Vitale family, the mob family Tex wants to bring down for his dream. Things get a little complicated when Tex and Enzo they both spiral down the dark path between love duty, and family. What is right and what is wrong. They can’t seem to stay away from each other, it becomes one obsessed toxic passionate and fiery love story you can’t get enough. Did I mention the spice is spicy.Fav Quotes:“You know what they say. If you love something, let it free or some shit like that.”I shook my head. “That is ridiculous. It should be, if you love something, lock it away so that it never escapes.”“From now on, I’m the only one allowed to hurt you or make you cry. Every inch of you belongs to me.” I bit his lip. “Even your life.”I wanted to claim Tex in every way possible. I needed him to know mind, body, and soul. He was mine and mine alone.

Enzo and Tex
I always like when a character displays a disability all the way throughout the book and these authors did it justice. It’s not always the thing that stands out but can be in the background and have small but meaningful aspects. The added fact that it’s not pointed out and just accepted was even better.I really liked relationship between these two, and as it’s pointed out it’s the good guy and the bad guy ending up together which is always fun to watch unravel. Will be reading book 2.
