My son and daughter-in-law are about to have to stay with me for a while due to home repairs after flooding. My daughter-in-law works in the ICU overnight and so needs a dark room during the day so that she can sleep. Our spare bedroom windows face East so the minute the sun comes up the room gets bright, despite the blinds on the windows. I bought this blackout window cover to prepare for them coming to stay with us. It is nothing fancy. It’s not a finished blind that has pretty edges or anything like that, but it definitely does the trick! I installed it behind my window blinds and it completely blacks out those windows. I used the magnets to hold it up. I live in East Texas and I was not really sure how well. The glue on the back of the Velcro would do when the heat was beating down on that window. The magnets are super strong, which is great. My windows are about 68 inches tall and 31 inches wide so I only got one full window out of each sheet. However, I have smaller windows in my kitchen, laundry room, master bath and linen closet so I can use the remainder on those windows. I plan to buy more because our south facing windows have no shade and it’s made the back of the house really warm and I’m hoping that this will help cool those areas down. I definitely think it was worth the money. I think these will be pretty durable based on needing to use my fabric shears instead of my paper ones to cut them. But they were super easy to put up and really block out the light. You can see it in the attached picture how one blind has this behind it and the other doesn’t.

This is a great choice for blacking out windows. We like that it is completely dark, unlike any other “blackout” curtains we have purchased, and it is easy to remove to let light in and open windows.

This is great to keep the sunlight out, also keeps a room warm in winter and cool in the summer! It's light weight and decently priced compared to others on the market. 2 issues I've encountered: 1. Length is an odd length so if you cut it to fit one window, the leftover material won't cover another standard window! 2. Having to remove and put the magnets on everyday!

Helps keep the light out and helped with the AC in the hot summer. Easy to put up and take down.

Keep falling off due to the heat. Also looks weird outside if you have thr silver side facing to the outside. Works if you can manage to get the sides tight enough. Definitely DO NOT provide enough magnets. You'll have to buy additional magnets.

These are all you want in a blackout blind. Easy to install and quality material. Work well.

Love love love love love these black out curtains. It has been an absolute game changer for our sleep. It blocks all light coming in - as long as you have the magnets in the right spots and the curtain is pulled tight. It was easy to cut to size and put up. They are also easy to take down. The magnets are strong enough to hold up the curtain without slipping or falling but easy enough to take down by pulling. Lightweight product - no screwing into the window frame or anything. Just magnets! The price was the best part of all of this. We have looked at and used so many only to be disappointed - but this product was perfect in every way. Highly suggest this product!

Purchased as a cost effective way to cover a large window. It was easy to install and it works amazingly. There is a considerably noticeable difference in the temperature in the rooms we put it up in. I will be purchasing more for other large windows in my house. Being magnetic allows me to cover them when needed but remove it when it’s cool and windy outside.

I put these up in my baby’s room in addition to black out curtains and the room is now pitch dark! It’s wonderful and versatile and good bang for your buck. Easy to install!

I work 14 night shifts in a row and need absolute darkness and this is the perfect product. The magnets are strong and work very well.

Worked so well. However it’s not a travel with you kind as you need to stick the magnets down (as expected). Our window was 61x58 and it fit well. We were too lazy to cut it up, so the bottom let some light in but we had sheer curtains there. Such blissful nights of sleep with this while we waited for the black out roller blinds to be delivered. Would 100% recommend.

A full quick blackout solution, but its not convenient if you want to let light in through the day.
