work fine
comes in a lot of protective packaging (maybe a bit too much). It would be great if there was less plastic involved.good weights, they did trap little air bubbles when dropped onto my beetroot but moving them about a little shifted the bubbles out.feel fairly substantial and quite heavy.

Quality weights
These arrived very quickly and are great for weighing down my fermenting sauerkraut and keeping it in the brine. They are a good size for my Kilner jars but you can still lift them out fairly easily. Small pieces of veg can still float up the sides if you are using them for brine pickling, but any bigger and the stones would not be easy to lift out. Worth the money if you are fermenting stuff regularly. Others have commented on the nice packaging. I am keeping mine to store the stones in when they are not in use and the heavy glass needs to be looked after.

Heavy enough to keep the fermenting foods under the brine
Weigh between 180 and 200 g each. I’ve put two in my wide kilner airlock jar as the internal space of the jar is wider than the jar entrance. These seem much better than other kinds due to the weight. I wish they did them in bigger 2 or 3 pieces to cover a wider jar.

Careful that they’ll fit your receptacle
Probably good but they don’t fit in the mason jars with the screw lids with the loose middle bit.

Good quality
Just be careful they are slippery if you have wet hands

Really effective :)
Great stone, sometimes fiddly to get out of the jar, I've started to put them in a little clear plastic bag to help lift them out, great at keeping everything under the brine :) - And fantastic packaging - shame I can't think of anything to do with it ...

Perfect! Please offer a bigger size as well!
Absolutely easy to clean, keep the vegtables under the surface, and one can see through.I wish they were offered in a larger size as well for jars like these:Weck Airtight Clip-Close Sealed Tulipano 1 L Jar with Lid 100 mm, Pack of 6, Glass, Transparent

Perfect for wide-mouth ball jars
I've been debating about these for months, because they seemed expensive. In the past I've weighted down my ferments in a makeshift sort of way, with a big flat stone on top of a cabbage leaf - not ideal. These sauer stones fit in the wide mouth Ball jars perfectly and are relatively easy to get out too. All of a sudden my fermented cabbage and carrots seem professional, and I think I'm much less likely to have issues with mold now.
