Q: does this come folded when packaged/delivered?

No. It arrives in one large rectangular piece, un-folded and within a cardboard package. It will not fit through your letterbox. But I am guessing you wouldn't want it too.

Q: What's the thickness of the mesh? I'm guessing around 3mm?

Thickness of the metal is about 1mm, possibly 0.8mm (no micrometer!). Holes are about 3mm x 10mm.

I made a mock up with some cardboard then cut the grill to size. Then drilled holes and used cable ties. If you want a more professional installation then that all depends on your fab skills.
