Really Happy with this KONG item!
Item is really good for my dog, I have a 1 1/2year old Border Collie, and this keeps him busy whilst cleaning his teeth which is really handy! I normally squirt a bit of dog flavored toothpaste in between the gaps for him to lick and chew out! Or a bit of peanut butter which is stickier so more challenging for him to get out and lasts longer. This item doesn't keep my dog as busy for as long as the proper KONGS (that you stuff) or the Goodie Bone does as he can get the stuff out from in-between the gaps really easily with this toy, but it's nice to use to fill with the toothpaste to aid teeth cleaning. Or if I fill it with peanut butter and put it in the freezer it lasts longer! It's pretty durable and hasn't been teeth-marked or damaged so far! In my opinion the hole down the middle that it says you can put treats in to "stuff-it" is too small. It's too small for any real treats to be stuffed down it, and if you put something all the way down it my dog struggles to get them out and then gets bored and leaves it. Which means I have to poke it out with something to clean it. But overall it love KONG toys and would recommend.

Good for dogs and mine like chewing these when they need to
safe for chewing , any bits that's are chewed off are very small so pass thru system.Actually durable takes long time to diminish. Not like plastic or fabric chews which are dangerous

Didn't last long enough to clean anything, certainly not my dog's teeth!
Having used the original "Large Black Kong" for the last 9 years without problems and finding them long lasting and good value, I thought I'd give my golden lab a new treat. What an absolute waste of money, it was destroyed and in pieces in under 10 minutes and had to be removed. Very, very disappointed with this product as it is not fit for purpose. Any dog using it I'm sure would have no trouble in ripping it to pieces in a very short space of time.

Very good toy
In the photograph it looks as though the rivets are quite deep. In fact it is very tricky trying to get the paste into them & it leaves a mess everywhere. Having said that, both dogs seem happy enough chewing it without the paste - it seems just the memory of that is enough. It's fun to throw around and I find it is quite tough as they have not broken them yet (I bought two - one small one for the puppy & one large one. Of course they immediately rejected 'their' one and swapped over. However, if I'm going out & need to crate the pup for an hour or so, I carefully squeeze in the paste putting the toy on some kitchen paper first and at least the mess is contained. I would give it 5 stars if it was easier to get the paste in.

Recommended by my vet and very durable
Very durable. You can tell straight away this is going to last. I’ve put toothpaste in the grooves as recommended by the vet and my dog seems to enjoy it.

Ok but
Hard to fix treats in the grooves or even spread pate in.

Good in theory but not for my dog
I had such high hopes for this and spent time selecting the right doggie toothpaste. It arrived quickly and my dog was initially excited at the prospect of a new toy. Once I had managed to get the toothpaste into the grooves which was a little tricky, my dog was not interested! I have ordered some kong paste so hoping I will have more success. The toy itself is everything you can expect from Kong. It is solidly made and very durable. I would have no reservations in leaving my dog alone with this toy. I would say that if you have carpets, maybe supervise your dog as the contents does come out occupationally. I have wooden floors so it wasn't really a issue for me. Cleaning the toy is a pain but I ironically used a toothbrush and took no time at all. :)
