One Step Closer Bible: Large Print Edition - Tan, NLT Imitation Leather – March 28, 2023

Love this Bible. The print is a great size and I appreciate the margins for making notes.

I love everything about this Bible-it has become my everyday reading. I have several different versions, and this has to be my favorite for its simplicity. When we preach to unbelievers, we want to share with them in terms that they may understand. NLT does that while keeping true to its original message. Don’t let the bad rep this version has steer you from it!The book is huge. Like school notebook huge. (see pic for comparison)The text is likewise a good size. I am not a fan of super thick and small Bibles (ESV in pic) or the square Bibles (short and longer horizontally).Candace includes generalized analogies in the introductions to each book; they are not personal stories of hers, rather general examples, not personal from her own life. This was a major con for me when i purchased “She reads truth” Bible where the editors use their own personal life stories. I want to apply and read about the word of God, not what happened to you while out running errands. Just my personal preference.Paper is not thinner than other Bibles, and using highlighter works fine. I was using Micro pens (for drawing) to take down my notes, but 1) that’s a little more visible and 2) the space provided for journaling isn’t huge. That is the only small detail i would change.Other than that, I am super happy with my purchase! Hope this helps you to decide. God bless.

I love this Bible. When the original One Step Closer Bible came out, I hesitated. And now I am so glad I waited for the large print version. For those with challenged eyes, the print isn’t big. So I know I would’ve struggled with the regular print. I love everything about this Bible. The cover is pretty and stylish. The gold pages are a nice addition. There are many notes and tools that help bring new insight to your dailyBible reading. This is also a red letter Bible, which is a plus. And there are three bookmarks included. This is handy as I am usually going through a certain book, while also going through the Psalms. So I can mark both spots. Some things to note: when the book arrives, you will notice that the pages stick together. I think this is because of the gold trim which is likely done after the book is put together? Therefore, the first thing I did was to go through the whole Bible, one page at a time, to gently pull the pages apart. Also the pages are very thin. So bleeding might become an issue. And you have to be gentle with the pages. (I would’ve preferred thicker pages even though that means a larger and heavier Bible.) Also I have added gold tabbies to my Bible. The color of the tabs go well with the color of the cover and the gold trim pages. Overall a wonderful Bible to help brighten your quiet time with the Lord.

I had to humble myself to accept this translation and I'm SO glad I did! I have had to set a timer to stop studying or I could go on reading for hours because its so easy to understand. The font is perfect for my aging eyes and I love the overall dimensions of this Bible. I can even insert print outs without too much hanging over the edges. There is just enough room in the margin for notes (be careful which tabs you choose - I picked large tabs that get in the way). I also love how it lays flat. Everything about it is great.

I purchased this bible for my mother-in-law. I didn't realize it was large print (my fault for not reading the description) until we received it but it was perfect for her. She said she has a hard time with the tiny print in most bibles so it worked out. It has margins for taking notes and works great with highlighters so they don't bleed through. These bibles are high quality for the price.

Highly recommend! At the time I got mine it was $60 but now it’s well over $100 . I mean it’s worth it . A beautiful gift to someone new in faith like I was .
