SuperbI've had horses all my life, but the day I bought a clever mule, who obviously already knew how to outfox people, I thought I needed lo learn more.This book and Raise your hand if you like horses form same writer have been of tremendous help, together with the videos of Ray Hunt, Tom Dorrance, Lorenzo the flying french man, and Emma Massingale.My clever mule and I are now good acquointances and on the way maybe to being best friends : with very little effort and lots of fun on the way.I do not follow every idea of the book scrupulously, but I am marvelled by his way of thinking, and find all his ideas interesting.

It's a manual which is great as it actually shows you what to do. Only downside was that the pictures were black and white. Apart from that it's a great book.

Great book, I've had my copy over five years and refer to it often. I've had horses all my life, and am now a pensioner, but you are never too old to learn more. I have just bought it for someone who is new to horses, to help him on his journey of understanding. I hope he will like it as much as I have.

Not all natural horsemanship exponents are created equal. I prefer to watch Monty Roberts on tv as Pat is a bit too 'showy' for my tastes, but I'm glad I read the book as he comes across much better here. So much of the two schools of thought overlap and I found myself warming to Pat and therefore more able to take on what he was saying as this work is less personality driven than his tv work. An interesting read.

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I found it very interesting and informative - the author has some innovative ideas which I can't wait to try out!

I have read this book a few times now when ever I encounter a "problem" it is a reference for me to go back to. I have helped rescue ponies and my own through using the techniques in this book

A fantastic, informative book written by the amazing Pat Parelli. A book you can dip into and re read time and again. Well laid out and reader friendly. Well worth reading for anyone interested in Natural Horsemanship.

Brilliant book, I've gone right back to basics with it as I'm re-starting my rehabbed youngster. Perfect, I know Pats ways of explaining his methods have moved on and become simpler, but this is still pure gold :)

Very well written book describing the revolutionary theories and techniques developed by this iconic horseman. He explains how horses think, and how to “speak” their language in a kind way by developIng a much gentler and far more effective way to deal with horses. Pat Pirelli shows the carrot is indeed mightier than the stick. I find it’s very good value for money. Every horse handler should read this.

it's an amazing book

Viele versuche ihr Pferd durch physisches Training oder Dominanz zu disziplinieren anstatt mal auf das Pferd und seine Reaktion und Gefühl zu hören. Das Buch ist in erster Linie für den Mensch auf sein Pferd und das was es fühlt zu hören!!Das gesamte Programm hilft Mensch und Pferd eine Gemeinschaft zu werden und nicht nur das Pferd als Trainingsgerät zu sehen und zu behandeln. (unabhängig von der Reitweise)Ich bin total vom Parelli Prinzip / Programm überzeugt!
