That it works well with thick paper.
I’ve used this for my project at home, it’s good quality and sharp to cut to thick paper.

Cheap and cheerful!
Compact and lightweight, perfect for small projects. The only issue is that it only cuts cleanly in one direction (right-to-left) - going the other way it just crumples up and tears the paper. Difficult to tell if it is due to a blunt side of the blade or the design of the cutter, but as it is cheap it's not a problem to remember to cut in one direction! I'm not sure how it would fare with thicker stacks of paper but did fine with a couple sheets of 100gsm.

Not a clean cut, needed scissors to tidy up
This is cheap, and you get what you pay for. It cuts, but not in a straight line as the parts are too flimsy and don't stay lined up as you cut unless you apply pressure. The clear bar moves because you have to lift it to put the paper in, and it's been obvious on patterned things that it's not cutting at a right angle when the paper is lined up along the edge. The worst thing is that it isn't a clean cut. It pushes the card into the channel so the cut has a curve on the edge and paper dust gets caught in the channel and it leaves bits behind, see the photo. It's easy enough to shave those bits off with scissors, but it just takes longer.Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't buy again.

No need to buy an expensive one.
I read some reviews on this product and almost didn't buy this model. Basically due to some negative reviews. All I will say is. Those bad reviews must have come from people not using this item correctly. This machine works like a dream. If you draw the blade towards you and hold it down with the same amount of pressure from start to finish. It cuts perfectly. If your paper is thin or delicate. I suggest you cut from the middle and work outwards to prevent tearing the paper. Tearing can happen on thin or delicate paper with a expensive version as well as a cheaper model. Save yourself cash and get this one.

Perfect straight lines!
What did I do before I had this? It cuts 5 layers with ease. The blade is lasting well. The angle functions on the board have been useful. No wonky lines again!

Not recommended
I would avoid this and pay the extra for a decent model. I found it to be quite flimsy and inaccurate when cutting. The push-down blade while cutting may make it safer, but it makes the cut worse and also makes it much harder to cut accurately. It is cheap but you get what you pay for. It can only cut a few (2-3) sheets of paper at a time and I wouldn't use more than 1 piece of card.

Cuts well if you mount it
I bought this as a quick next day delivery as I had a few name tags to print and cut and with it being cheap, Why not?I was pleasantly surprised, I saw the material was plastic as advertised so obviously not the best quality ever, But it worked surprisingly well.I mounted it on my printing desk and held the plastic cutter guide to press down and keep the pressure on the paper and the first cut was flawless. I continued with it mounted and with pressure on the clear plastic cutter guide and every cut was flawless.I think it's definitley a cheap alternative and it can be good if used precisley, Thicker paper wouldn't be ideal as the blade is think. But for basic office work it works well so would recommend if you're willing to mount it or keep it still whilst using it
