Excellent quality spanners
You can tell these spanners are high quality when you use them every day. I got the 14 series and love them. They have a very nice offset angle on the ring side as well.

Stahlwille are topdog.
Stahlwille spanners are not cheap but the best I've used in my lifetime. Their 15mm is the only make of spanner that I own that is slim enough to hold LR compensators.

not what they used to be
Somewhat disappointed with these spanners. I still have many stahwille spanners from 50 + yrs ago when I used them professionally. They are still in great shape, almost as new. Those were thin - as others have noted - especially in the shaft. So much so it was/is easy to flex the shaft. I looked on them as being of more a spring steel than just carbon or alloy steel. Their open-ended spanners never spread, they always held shape despite heavy usage. But what of the ones I've just bought (for my son)? Mostly disappointed. They look just like any other spanner set one can buy for a quarter the price. They are noticeably thicker in the shaft than my old ones, and not nearly as tidily executed. In fact, apart from the name they're almost identical to some Draper spanners I have. I rather suspect (like many other things these days) that these are made in China for stahlwille. Nothing like the quality of my old ones.

Best spanners you can buy and I have a set ...
Best spanners you can buy and I have a set from all the best manufactures, they feel really nice to use, a set that will last a lifetime

Best spanners in the world
Best spanners in the world, bar none. Thin walled ring ends work well on German engineering. Some trucks don't leave much room for fatter inferior tools.

Stahlwille spanners
I already have a set of imperial open end Stahlwille spanners that were my dad's. They must be over 60 years old and are as good as new. This decided the make of metric combination spanners I bought. They are costly but good spanners are. I have spanners of other makes including Snapon and Mac, but to use these are (in my opinion) better. Slimmer and not as slippery as my Snapon and Mac and slightly easier to wipe clean than the very similar Gedore No.7s I have. Excelent.

Not as good as I thought.
Just to make clear that I bought these spanners when I was in Germany a few months ago and not from the the Amazon dealer. Not sure if they are the same quality (I suppose so from the model no.) and thanks god I paid only 45 Euros.Maybe the quality is good but the tolerance not that great. I compared them with some old Brittol and Halfords Pro by fitting the spanners on several NEW OEM bolts I bough for my car from the dealer. They have quite a play and are the same if not worse than Brittol and Halfords Pro with regards to the tolerance.
