Walnut Hollow Basswood Plank Small with Live Edge Wood (Pack of 12) - for Wood Burning, Home Décor, and Rustic Weddings

Walnut Hollow Basswood is the best for wood burning in my opinion. I love how well it works, the surface is very smooth allowing for any picture to burn with no problem and they look very nice when finished with the natural live edge from the bark. These pieces are marked as small in size but each piece is not that small measuring an average of 30cm by 25cm and 2.5cm thick each. They were delivered very fast too. Highly recommended and will use again, thank you.

We shaved down the corners of these planks and made a recess on the surface to create eating planks for our Viking feast. A nice layer of shellac made them food safe and beautiful!

The color bleed was very pronounced when painted and epoxy was poured in it. The woodcuts nicely in the laser. The size is good. I was able to make some Father's Day presents out of them very easily, sanding smooth and soft wood.

I have bought small and medium planks on several occasions, with no problems. I know people complain about the live edge falling off. It has been minimal with a few dark spots from knots in the wood. Understand, this is wood, each piece varies in size and shape. Sizes are in a range that is stated in the description. Never a major problem. I have not seen anything from Walnut Hollow, being split. Would recommend. If the live edge is flaky, I use some mod podge to coat the live edge.

They were smaller than expected but perfect for what I wanted to use them for. I ordered two cases of them, which came perfectly boxed and wrapped. And the delivery person followed the directions at the door! YES! I will order more for future projects!
