Teapigs Lemon and Ginger Tea Bags, 15 x 37.5g

I love this tea. Previously tried an organic ginger only tea, but found it to have too much ginger burn and make my throat feel a little sore during drinking. This one’s main ingredient is still ginger, but with a little lemon, and taste great. Plenty of ginger taste and fragrance for me, but without the burn. Really enjoyable. This one I will definitely continue to purchase.

Teapigs produces delicious tea - no doubt about it. Bigger leaves make a difference after steeping for 3 minutes. The flavour is defined and mellow. Other finer ground teas produce a stronger flavour and I like that too sometimes. Teapigs is great to use for everyday of after dinner for guests. The teabag pyramid is pretty but I am not sure that it is biodegradable. The only thing is the price. Should one pay £4.50 per box? Its up to you - but- having some set aside for special occasions is nice - it makes a great gift too.

The tea is fine. I bought it for friends that like it, but it’s not strong enough flavour for me. Certainly nothing wrong with the Tea.

I usually enjoy the Sweet Ginger version, but those don't seem to be available at the moment. So I gave this lemon and ginger version a try. First impressions... WOW! A very obvious lemon theme, but with that slight ginger heat that lingers in your throat. Very enjoyable. The contents are lovely and chunky with very visible lemongrass and ginger pieces and no dust. Actually one of the chunkiest tea temple contents that I've seen. As with most other Teapigs versions, I've been leaving the bag in the cup for more flavour (recommended brewing time is 3-5 minutes, but I like it that way). And finally, a tiny point, I really like the cyan colour theme on the string label. An unusual finishing touch. 5 stars from me.

Lovely tea. Ideal as a winter warmer and if you have a cold.

I don't find this a particularly flavoursome drink. It's very mellow, even when upping the recommended dosage. I do love a fiery ginger drink - when I'm in the mood for a ginger drink I really want to taste it, and this doesn't deliver for me I'm afraid, and won't order again. On a positive though, it does live up to the expectation of proper chunky pieces and not the dust you usually find in other brands of loose tea.
