Very solid bicykle lock. Could be a little bit longer, but quality is perfect

and not great value at RRP, but very secure and the wearability comes in useful regularly.Don't use this when i'm doing multiple pick-ups as it is somewhat of a faff to use quickly, so I use D-locks for convenience.Maybe I'm just too impatient.As a Londoner, I try never to leave a bike for longer than 5/10 mins anyway, but if I have to, this is essential security for one of my higher-value bikes.Recommended if you're not in a hurry..

Great safety chain excellent quality

Practical security device. A bit short as shipped but you can get some useful extra length by undoing the plastic fastener at the end and pulling out the chain a bit.It's heavy but that's what you expect with a sold secure silver gradeThe padlock is a bit fiddly to use but you get used to it.

I have this hiplock and the hiplock lite. This is a stronger more secure lock than the lite version but combined its pretty good security for my bike. I chuck this hiplock in my bag and I have the hiplock lite around my waist. Locking my bike, I rap this hip lock original around my frame and back tire and the fixed place I am locking it and then the hiplock lite I rap around the front tire and frame. Altogether it makes it all fairly secure to anyone that dose not have a mobile disc cutter..

This is a really robust and rugged lock. If there is a problem it is with the length. The compromise exists because it has to be short enough to fit around a narrow waists but also long enough to work successfully as a bike lock. As a slim female, I am at the lower end of the minimum size it will fit, and sure enough it sits on my hips. The positive is I haven't noticed the weight when riding.As a lock I find that unless the bike is absolutely in the right position by a standard bike post there are times when it could do with being a link or two longer. Fitting it through the back wheel spokes and frame is hard work, especially as you then have to fit both ends through the padlock. It can all get a bit fiddly. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and with the solid feel the lock has, but I tend to use it in addition to a U-lock when I'm in a particularly security conscious area, rather than on its own.

I like the fact you can wear it like a belt instead of having to carry it in a back pack or wrapped around bike.

Security wise fab, however I found it difficult to fit through my spokes and be very short of room to secure the motor wheels and frames of my ebike. If it was longer it would be fine

HipLok is basically a chain lock for your bicycle, available in a couple of weights. Although none of the weights offered is the equivalent of, say, the Krypto NY Fugettaboutit chain lock, they are outstanding for normal light to medium (or more than medium) daily use. The key point is that you wear this chain lock around your waist as you ride, which is MUCH more comfortable and less of a pain than carrying a U-lock or chain in a pack or attaching one to your bike with bungee straps. I have both a light one and a standard one, and both are comfortable to wear and easy to attach.I also use a backup chain, the Pinhead locks for the wheels, and an old bicycle chain in an inner tube through the seat stays -- but then I live in NYC, the bike theft capital of the country!

This lock is beefy. It’s a little tight for space when locking my bike up to racks, but that increases security, and I can still lock it to any rack I’ve been to.It’s pretty heavy, but I don’t feel it when wearing it around my waist. I find wearing it very convenient. I like not having a lock dangling off my frame or having to carry a bag for one.Although it’s expensive, my bike cost me thousands of dollars so this is a small price to pay for piece of mind knowing that thieves will likely pick an easier target when they see this thick chain and lock.

Le fabricant plebiscite une taille de fermeture antivol de 85cm, mais la vraie taille utile est tout autre, car ils mesurent cadenas compris, or comme les deux derniers maillons de la chaîne doivent être passés dans la hanse du cadenas (système un peu à l’ancienne à mon goût), la taille tellement utilisable pour accrocher le vélo est plus de l’ordre de 78cm.Malheureusement c’est bien trop peu pour être utilisé correctement partout à coup sûr (et si vous désirez accrocher le cadre et une roue, vous pouvez définitivement l’ignorer).Dommage, le concept était intéressant, mais il manque 10 ou 15cm d’attache pour tenir toutes ses promesses.

Il prodotto si presenta molto bene, ottima fattura. Il fatto che possa essere usato tipo cintura mi ha risolto il problema di dove ancorare la catena durante gli spostamenti, la uso per un monopattino. Il rivestimento della catena è bello e robusto. Ottima e molto utile la zona riflettente.
