Actually better than my genuine microsoft chargers
Having 2 surface pro laptops I have been really struggling with the genuine microsoft chargers. When the original chargers failed I purchased the very expensive genuine microsoft replacements - only for the cable to fail. not only once but twice.So I decided to try an alternative product. I've just received this and was impressed at the length of cord and the quality feel of the product. Charges really well so far and the charger is not getting hot at all. Because it is not a genuine product I would not leave it plugged in overnight just in case.

I bought this thinking that it was an original Microsoft product. I did not read the description carefully enough. It works fine and is considerably cheaper than the official product. I do worry about the quality of the components
