I was looking for a shelving system to hold VHS tapes behind a door, but with only 5” of ground clearance I realized I needed to go with wall-mounted shelving. There are SO MANY options and it took me a while to find these but I’m VERY happy with them. They’re exactly the depth I needed and the multiple widths allowed me to arrange them in a more visually interesting way (I used four sets of shelves). Installation couldn’t have been easier - this paulownia wood is soft but strong. No need to pre-drill holes, a firm push was all I needed to get each nail started and then they screwed in smoothly. The metal brackets are flexible enough that, if you do end up with something a little out of place, you can probably bend the metal to accommodate. I had 12 shelves put together and mounted in just a couple hours, painless process. And I gotta say I think this paulownia wood is really cool - I’d never seen the stuff before, but I’m not a fan of MDF so it was cool to discover this lightweight hardwood as an affordable alternative. Highly recommended!!

These shelves are perfect for small, decorative needs! The colors are nice, and the coloring details vary a bit from shelf to shelf, which adds to that kind of “rustic” look. They are very lightweight, but once they’re installed, they are perfectly sturdy. You do have to add the brackets to the shelves yourself, which is kind of a pain because nothing is marked so you have to measure and really make sure they’re straight, BUT on the other hand, it’s nice because you can put the brackets closer to the inside or outside, depending on what look you want. I looked through the review images to decide how I wanted them! I do recommend drilling shallow pilot holes first, especially if you put the brackets toward the outside. I made a small crack in the first one I tried without a pilot hole, but it’s not really visible, thankfully! Definitely check dimensions because they are not very big, but again, great for smaller decorative needs. We used them in the old bathroom in our recently redone basement. We didn’t redo the bathroom so we added some nice touches to make it look better without a full renovation. The shelves were perfect for that purpose! I also bought the white but haven’t installed yet. They are not a bright solid white, they’re a thorough whitewash kind of? You can see the wood grain is what I’m trying to say! I included a picture of them next to our solid white tv stand.

I bought these shelves to hold cat nonsense above the litter box (litter deodorizer, litter bags, cat treats, catnip spray etc). The wood doesn't feel super sturdy, but because I wasn't putting heavy stuff on it, I didn't really worry about it. Aesthetically, they're pretty cute, but I wish I'd installed them small to large, centered, instead of offsetting the shelves and sizes. I think because it's hidden in a small cubby next to a cabinet, the artsy thing didn't really work in the space. But that's just my opinion (I tried to arrange them like the photos on Amazon). Now for the fun part, installation. If...and please pay attention, because this is VERY important...IF you have lath and plaster walls, IMMEDIATELY go and buy sturdy screws. These strip incredibly easily...like in a split second. If you have drywall, like normal people should, you'll be fine with what's provided. I'm a pretty handy chick, and installation should seriously have taken only ten minutes, but, because I have a crappy old house with plaster, it took over an hour. I did have outside forces interrupting me, like my cat knocking everything off of my desk, including my tools, a shelf and phone, several injuries (burned the bejeezus out of my fingers on a hot drill bit, after trying to force it to get the screw into the wall, and I may or may not have taken a little tumble off of the ladder too). There was also lots of walking around screaming obscenities--apologies to my neighbors. Because I was too impatient to drive to the store to get better screws, I literally screwed them in using needle nose pliers. Once they were up, like I said, they looked great, I'm just sharing the ridiculous challenges for those who might have plaster walls. Overall I would recommend these for small bits and pieces, the sizes were perfect for me and I would buy them again. :)

The shelves are quite lightweight, so unsure of long-term durability. I was really pleased on receipt of them though. I plan to use them on the wall behind the loo in a two-piece bathroom. They look quite nice and they will hold the bits I want them to hold. I purchased them largely for decorative reasons, but they are a good enough size to hold extra loo rolls etc. I got them at a good deal and would purchase them again.

There were similar shelves that were a bit larger, but my reason for choosing these shelves was because I needed smaller shelves in smaller places. They are not "miniature," but about 20% smaller than you might get if you had selected standard 1x6" lumber. I selected the smallest shelf for my bathroom, where it is perfect for holding medicine and vitamin bottles near the sink. I put the medium shelf in my office over my desk. It's small enough not to be obtrusive, but large enough to store a considerable quantity of desktop items. I haven't decided where to put the longer shelf yet, but it's not "too big" to be practical for holding small items that you might want to get off of a desktop, tabletop of countertop. The wood is beautifully finished, as is the metal. There is a bit of leeway in the fit, which is not at all a problem with this design. Easy to mount and hang, and solid when on the wall. Very attractive in place. I am 100% pleased.

These shelves look great. We love them. They are very sturdy and strong. I think some reviews mistake the light weight of the wood for being weak but that's not the case at all. The finish looks great but may damage easily if not handled carefully during installation. They are a bit tricky to install as it's difficult to mark the holes on the wall properly due to the design. I made cardboard templates to help make sure they were put up perfectly level. I used different drywall anchors than what came with the product to ensure the holding power on the wall. Logically the shelves are only as strong as the surface they are mounted to. They are beautiful, strong and functional for decorative items as they were intended for. For all of the reviews that say they are too small... maybe use the info provided and a tape measure to ensure that they work for your space instead of giving a low rating based on your own silly oversight. The size was exactly as I expected.

I was really happy with the choices of colours, as I was having a rough time finding grey shelves that worked with my vanity. That being said, I was a little disappointed to find that the shelf was just a grey painted wood with no gloss or finish around the edges. From far they look nice, but up close...not so much. If you're looking for that unfinished, diy, rustic look then these shelves are great. Be warned...because of the multiple configurations for these shelves, expect to have to drill your own holes for the brackets! It's not too difficult to figure out though.

The shelves arrived in nice packaging and included all the necessary brackets for assembly, which will be easy to do. They weren’t exactly what I was expecting—I thought they’d have more of a glossy finish, but they’re more of a simple stained wood. That said, they still look nice and feel fairly sturdy, especially for the price I paid. Overall, a good budget-friendly option!
