very noisy
Loads of noise and easy to put up. This should keep us safe for sure. well built and should last right price as usual so no complaints at all.

Peace of mind.
Everyone should have one of these - they are reasonably priced, very easy to fix and you can sleep with the knowledge that if there is a fire you will be woken with time to get out and take others with you. Bliss.

Dangerous
As many others said, wish I could give it Zero. Sadly I didn't fit it straight away as it was for our caravan so missed out on returning it. Fitted it recently, brand new Duracell battery, no gas bottles even connected to the van, let alone fridge/hob running and windows open and it chirped random warnings of around 80ppm. Removed it to my garden table, done the same thing. Absolutely shocking, it goes off so much you could get blasé about it and ignore it. We have a 15 month old so safety is of paramount concern. Wish we had read the reviews properly. Avoid!

Works a bit too well
Considering the cheap price this downstairs smoke alarm works a bit to well. I have put this in the hall by the front door. I have to set the extractor fan on high as even slightly over done toast will set it off. Whilst irritating I know that if I had a fire my family would have plenty of warning to get out alive.

This product was disconnected eventually because the alarm, which was installed on the landing ceiling next to the bathroom, kept going off with the condensation created from using the shower. Would not buy this item again.

Very basic, (IMO) smoke alarm ...
Seems a pretty basic alarm and the test function doesn't really push-in to reach the 'trigger arm' within ... No apparent 'pointer' to where you open it either and I don't know how long the thin plastic will last if regularly opened/closed to test it. ... Bought it because it replaces the same (non-functioning) model at our rental, (the agreement says we cannot mess with decorations/fittings). Otherwise would have gone for a more quality product and paid £5-7 more. ... Hopefully it will work/sound if needed ...
