Heat (Special Edition) [Blu-ray]

This Film Heat, Sharkey's Machine, Stick and Malone are 4 of my FAVORITE Burt Films. They are Not considered his top Films, I mean, He has made Classic Films, but, these are some of my Personal Favorites. First off, Heat is a Christmas movie just like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. It was remade with Jason Statham as Wild Card, which I also enjoy. In fact, at the "MAN" awards, Statham gave Burt the Lifelong Achievment Award. Finally, Heat is on Bluray, Thank You Kino Lorber for getting these Classics out. Stick is out in a 2 Disc Edition from Germany, Region Free. Has Burts' Downbeat Directors Cut as well as the " Greatest Stuntman Documentary, Hosted by Chuck Norris. It's about Dar Robinson who took the crazy backward fall from the building in Sharkey's Machine and the Insane drop shooting a gun backwards several stories up in Stick. Way before CGI. His last stunt where he falls with a chain around his ankle stopping inches from the floor was in Lethal Weapon. All of these Films are finally on Bluray, Heat being the last one I needed, and It looks Crystal Clear compared to the Dvd I have owned since 2002. Also has commentary and "alternate" ending which was the ending on the Dvd. If you Love Burt, especially R Rated Burt, a Fan of Sharkey's Machine, Stick and Malone, HEAT Is a Must! The Film is Awesome and the picture is clear and Top Notch. Finally, Heat on Bluray. A Christmas Miracle!!!

Burt was never really the secret agent type. But always made great movies! This one in is mid to late 80's burt. . Sharky's machine, Stick, too is Very dark But good movies!

This is one of my top three Burt Reynolds films along with Sharky's Machine and Malone. Burt is as cool as it gets in this movie. Great understated performance with some nice action/beat em' up scenes too. He and Peter McNichol play off each other very well. Really good movie that I hadn't seen until a few years ago, thanks to Kino Lober for finally getting us a blu ray.

Good movie but i was under the impression that this was a brand new disc/box and not already open.

This title has been used a number of times including a later (to the release of this movie) superb cop's and robbers movie with a stellar cast. Unfortunately, this titled movie is no competition for the later one.Burt labors through this movie portraying a non specific jack of all trades (what is he...a body guard, a private detective, something in between?) Las Vegas resident working out of a shady attorneys office.Burt is well known among the mob elite running the town as well as by the casino workers yet manages to get cross wise with out of town thugs while defending the mistreatment of a prostitute.The story proceeds downhill from there with wooden acting coupled with a convoluted difficult to comprehend much less to accept plot.Fans of Burt will add this one to their collection but far from one of his better roles.

Burt Reynolds "Heat" is definitely quieter then Jason Statham's version "Wild card" Which i enjoy as well, but, "Heat" is more human and really delves into the character more then "Wild card" - Peter MacNicol's "Heat" character is very well done and has a lot of fun with Burt's character ( fun to watch) this is an important part of the character that is missing from "Wild card" - more action for sure, but i enjoy the quiet interaction between the character's more. just received my copy today 5/1/23 early delivery!

very good movie by burt there is a remake of this called wild card by jason stratham and it is way better, both a worth watching but wild card kicks major ass.
