Great product. Saved our new floors!
These are fantastic to put on dining chairs they slide very well and protect our new laminate floors. I was impressed with the result.I think two or three small nails on the product would be better as a part of its design as when you are hammering them in it was a light difficult to get them to sit straight as there was a small area to hammer over and the nail was tilting to one side as you often get on the first bang but as the area is small and you dont want to mess around too much so as not to damage the chair legs from all the hammering.

Four Stars
easy to fit, but too early to tell if it will remain effective

Excellent product.
These gliders allow chairs to glide effortlessly over my tiled kitchen floor - no noise produced and no dragging required. Relatively expensive, but worth every penny in my opinion.

MagiGlide 4 Nail & Clip Set
Sold as the ultimate dual purpose furniture glider.I bought these for wooden legged dining room chairs. The gliders consist of 3 parts; glider pad, plastic type washer and a nail. What should happen is that the thick plastic washer, secured by the nail into the chair leg, has the recessed glider pad clipped over the fixed washer/nail and therefore remains attached. What actually happens is that you discover a fundamental design fault.Once the thick plastic washer is nailed into place, the glider pad does not click/secure into place. Not worth the effort of sending back, which I suspect the manufacturer/seller relies upon.It was a waste of money.Consequently, I have bought chair leg gliders of a screw, metal washer and teflon glider pad, elsewhere.I recommend you avoid buying these to avoid the disappointment that I have experienced.Fundamentally flawed design in practice.

Does its job
Does its job wonderfully well.Used this product on several different chairs and a table and all glide smoothly and quietly on our laminated wooden floor, no scratching at all.Only complaint is that with the smaller pads, (the 20mm ones)' we have had to re-purchase some as the originals had worn through the ptfe pads to the rubber backing, after only just over a years use.So suggest you buy the biggest pads that will fit on your furniture rather than going by the reccomended weight carrying figures.Still the fact that we have bought a second set should point out how effective they are!

They were easy to fit and stopped the 80 year old chairs ...
Have had these fitted to our dining chairs for about 6 weeks now.Firstly, they do what they say on the tin. They really do work. They were easy to fit and stopped the 80 year old chairs I've fitted them to from wobbling (they replaced very worn or missing original steel feet). However, despite vacuuming the floor daily, the pads have picked up little bits of grit. Now if you move a chair while sitting on it, which the pads make VERY easy, and is something our 3 year old does the whole time, they sandpaper the new engineered wood floor they were bought to protect.I have managed to remove the grit, but the damage is done. Wiping with a mildly abrasive pan scourer - the white ones designed for non-stick pans, did not work. In then end I scraped the pads with the sharp edge of a scissor blade. This has removed the grit, and you can see little pits where the grit was.Overall a potentially good product, and probably great for carpets and only occasionally moved objects. But a lot of maintenance for frequently moved chairs. I will be looking for something else for the chairs.

Magic!
I have recently moved into a lovely place but the floors are very ptone to marking. I have gradually been buying magiGlide products. First lot were a try out and I have found them brilliant. They arrived promptly. I now have the various types on my dishwasher, washing machine, bookcases, chairs (NB you must get the nail and clip for wooden chairs, I made a mistake initially but the nail and clip are very easy to fit) and other items of furniture. I have wooden floors which are protected and it is also realy easy to move my furniture for cleaning etc.

Not worth the money
We'd been using "stick- on" felt pads to protect our Karndean flooring but we kept having to replace them because tiny pieces of grit- and even salt- were becoming embedded in them. These sounded like a good idea, and my expectations were raised by the high price. In reality it’s hard to see how they justify the price. The nails provided are quite thick. You may want the drill small pilot holes first to avoid splitting the wood.Fitting proved to be considerably more difficult than I expected. You have to nail a small (and not very robust) plastic ring onto the chair leg, then push fit the protector onto the ring. This involved a lot of pushing and twisting, so you do need strong hands. After fitting 16 of these you’ll be sick of it.Finally it’s worth pointing out that if these ever become broken or dislodged you’ll be left with a chair leg which has a dirty big nail sticking out of the bottom of it.
