Stainless steel blades, no concerns about rust when they're inevitably put away wet. Silky smooth plastic handles, really nicely made. Sharp and cut right to the tip. Nice balance between precision and strength. Would definitely buy again.

Having previously bought two really good snap-off cutters in the past from Olfa, were the first company I thought of when I decided to finally get a decent pair of scissors. As always the build quality is first rate, with a really smooth contoured plastic handle and weighty, very finely machined blades. I've never actually had scissors which feel as great in the hand as these do – you just know you're holding something that's been carefully designed. They're light, but weighty enough to cut through thicker materials like leather. The plastic is smooth, and the cutting action is buttery smooth as well. One of the blades has a very fine serrated edge and the other is straight and knife sharp. They combine into allowing very fine detail cutting, perfect for paper crafts. I know scissors are mundane items, but even with the simple stuff it's nice to see this level of care in the design and materials. Olfa are a level above.

I use these scissors for cutting accurate appliqué shapes in fabric and the micro serration on the blades helps enormously.

My mom gave me these scissors (but in red) when I was 6 to use in the kindergarden for hand crafting. She previously used them at her work in the leather industry (trimming leather, etc). 20 years later, I still have them and they work flawlessly. No rust, still sharp, no play in between the blades. They feel just like the first time I had them.
