It’s the Japanese word for cute, and involves decorating like a, well, teen girl might—think pink.Anyway, I don’t care. I’m not a teen girl and I got the Papi Chick. That stupid thing makes me smile every time I see it. Just a flat expression, with eyes frozen open like it’s seen too much.From a point of practicality, it’s a great little night light for children, or adults who find it difficult to get around during a three AM bathroom visit without blinding yourself with a regular light. The adorable exterior is a soft, squishy, silicone that you can grab, or mash, to reach the touch-activated light inside— it also seems sturdy, so feel free to grab or mash. It’s a soft light that won’t blind you and has a nice slow fade when you turn it off. There’s a timer, as well, but I don’t use it, so can’t tell you about it.I recommend this thing, not just because it’s wonderfully goofy, but because it’s also pretty darn good at what it’s made for. It would make a fun gift for people and might even be a good Secret Santa. Unless Alan gets it, he’s so uptight. Ducking Alan.

After just two months, this product would not charge anymore and now no longer lights up.

This tiny night light is as cute as it is functional. It is completely wireless with a USB-C port (cable included) for recharging and highly portable due to its small nature. The bottom of the light is solid, however the rest of the body is made of a soft silicone which actually functions as the switch; simply squeeze or tap the device to turn the light on/off. The timer functionality works as expected too so you can set and forget before bed. The light has two modes of brightness both serving effectively well in terms of providing a very dim and comfortable light on the low mode, and a bright but not blinding light on high, very well suited for a nighttime bathroom visit.
