I bought this angle grinder to replace my dewalt which let the smoke out after about 2 years of constant use. Nothing lasts forever so that was expected. What attracted me to this model was the AC brushless motor and variable speed control. I like how when at a less than wide open speed, the motor increases its torque to match the workload. As you apply pressure that would normally slow the disc down, it ramps up its output to keep the disc spinning at your selected speed. Its awesome. I use it often and hard. Looks like a quality tool. This tool, like the other Metabo tools I own, is smooth. I highly recommend.

I love this grinder and use everyday for cut tile.Very thin handle, it's really helpfull because you can take it in your hand easy and no tire for a long work,This grinder is light weight, only 3.5 pounds.

I love this grinder. I’ve been in the metalworking trades for over 40 years. I own several angle grinders.Milwaukee, Makita, Bosch and even a cheaper model Metabo.My personal preference is to have a slide switch on my grinders. Most cheap slide switch grinders have a switch that is frustrating to engage. Even the Makita and Bosch grinders have cheap switches. When wearing gloves their switches are hard to engage.This grinder has a really high quality and easy to use switch. Wonderful!This grinder has a ton of power for its size. It’s well balanced and the handle diameter is smaller than most grinders. The handle diameter and light weight (for its power class) are the main reasons I bought thisgrinder. My old hands cramp up when I use grinders with thicker handles for extended time periods.The smaller handle on this grinder is a big help.In spite of being made in China this angle grinder looks and feels like a very high quality tool.I’m very pleased and even though it’s a bit expensive I’m glad I bought it.This will now be my go to grinder when I need to get some real grinding done.
