Refreshingly different from any other productivity book out there
No amount of mindfulness and productivity hacks will make up for the lack of the spiritual element that's missing in most 'how-to' or self-help books .This book remedies that. It provides a rational, argued from an Islamic point of view, and offers many practical tips.

Comprehensive productivity manual
If there's only one book you'll read on productivity and Islam, this is it. The author, Mohammed Faris, is a true pioneer in this field and his book comprehensively summarises the best of his training, articles and knowledge. Being a productivity buff myself, I've devoured books from the likes of David Allen, Tracey, Canfield and Covey. What's impressive about this book is that Faris is clearly well-read and knowledgeable about cutting-edge theories in productivity. Even more impressive for me is that this knowledge does not dilute his passion for how Islam complements these theories. For example, his habits section brilliantly uses examples of Islamic practices such as Salah, charity and fasting. Also, he covers many layers of productivity which many books miss: physical, mental, spiritual and social. 'Productivity After Death' - the final chapter - is also an ingenious concept. When I buy a book on a Kindle, if I make 20 highlights it's just about worth the price; if I make 50 then it's a darn good book; 100? Then it's a classic, one of my top 10. This book got no less than 120 highlights! Enough said.

Highly beneficial
Like me, I am sure many of you sometimes feel overwhelmed with trying to manage family, work, social life and religious duties. I am always looking for ways to get the ideal work-life balance so I was really happy when I came across this book on Audible a few years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. During Ramadan I decided to buy the actual book and read it to help me visualise some of the concepts mentioned. It was the first productivity book I had come across which I felt I could relate to (although admittedly, in the past I probably read or listened more about being productive than actually putting things into practice 😂).This book looks at productivity as a product of focus, energy and time and explains how we can use Islam to manage and boost these three things in a holistic way to lead a more productive life. No one can be productive all the time and it was good to hear that too as we shouldn’t feel guilty about taking time out to rest and recharge.Going over the book in more detail, there were times when I was a bit cynical and thought there were ideas which seemed unrealistic to achieve for me personally. However, I found the majority of the advice very beneficial and liked the way the author gave practical tips and used examples from the Quran and The teachings of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to make it easier to follow. Over time I pray I can implement and adapt some of these ideas into my own lifestyle.Although predominantly aimed towards Muslim readers I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to boost their productivity and use their time efficiently and I will Insha Allah pass it on to my daughters to read too!

Changed my life!
I have to say this is one of the most helpful and life changing books out there for any muslim seeking to get more out of life. I have bought more than 10 copies now to give to friends and family and even staff members it's that good.Being a regular reader of self improvement books I have found that many of the ideas agree with Islam anyway but the author has managed to combine the extensive sources of hadith and sunnah and combine them with established modern self improvement theory in an easy to read and well laid out format that is easy to implement. The summaries and tips are spot on and you can add the theories one by one into your daily routine and trust me you will change for the better.I never thought I would be able to change my natural tendencies as a night owl and become a morining lark! This book has truly been life changing and is an absolute life long gem in my book shelf. I just wish it was a bit cheaper so I could give out more copies and change the lives of more people in my circle!

A good read for Muslims aiming to improve their lives
There are many good things about this book and I am really glad that I have bought it and read it. If I were to pick up what I found most valuable, it would be the combination of productivity tips and the Islamic perspective. For a Muslim the definition of success is to be saved from the hellfire and entered into Jannah. So our aim to be more productive must take that into account, which is missing in most productivity books out there. May Allah bless brother Mohammed Faris and accept this book as beneficial knowledge that continues to benefit him after his death. Thank you, Mohammed, for such a great book.
