Avène Gentle Milk Cleanser

Let me start off with, I am a straight up product junkie , forever in search of the perfect product for my relatively new dry, dehydrated skin. I’m also a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist (licensed in both separately, yes) so I am naturally into skincare stuff in general, but , you see I used to have extremely oily, relentlessly acne-prone skin (also highly sensitive to boot! 👍🏻) well into my late 20’s , then bam, switcharoo! No more acne. Replaced by severally dry , dehydrated skin. Just like my dad. The insane sensitivity comes from my mom (who has flawless , beautiful NORMAL skin type otherwise, which is like 1% of the population btw) . Thanks, you guys for the lovely genetics 😸👍🏻 (Jk ). Anyways, I always remember buying him moisturizers he never used but constantly complained about the discomfort and flakey, dry forehead. Yeah, I inherited that. You wouldn’t really know it, though, because I do take really good care of my skin. Like with product such as this! This is the BEST CLEANSER I have ever used. My skin looks soft, hydrated, supple, dewy even! I’m so impressed!!!! I hesitated buying it, because it’s pricey for a cleanser I didn’t even need, but dang. Well worth it!!! I’m off to try more of their god-given stuff!

Since I can’t get the Mary Kay Creamy Cleanser anymore, I tried everything with trying nothing I liked. I finally ran across this Avene Milk Cleanser and am so happy. It works great!

I bought this because I loved the spa-like fragrance of the Avene micellar water. This also has a wonderful fragrance and texture, and love the way my skin looks and feels after Inuse it. Thank you for being environmentally conscious and vegan as well.

Essential product. My sensitive skin loves it

My daughter has severe eczema and this is the only facial cleanser that works for her sensitive skin.

I was hesitant to use this after opening — it has a perfume scent. Although relatively mild, I try to stick with unscented products or those that just smell like the ingredients (i.e. GR’s watermelon AHA mask smells like watermelon because that is a primary ingredient). My skin is sensitive, combo, and prone to breakouts. It does not like things that have added fragrance. I decided to try it anyway, swayed by all the rave reviews. It does remove dirt, makeup, buildup, etc. insanely well, without being oily like a cleansing balm. I wipe it off with a damp microfiber washcloth (much gentler material than a typical towels) or rinse with lukewarm water before following through with the rest of my regimen. It hasn’t been quite long enough to know how it works for me in general. However I know so far that it makes my skin nice and soft, it’s moisturizing, and it’s *okay* for sensitive skin. The scent doesn’t linger, it’s gone pretty much as soon as you wash. It’s a good ultra-gentle, non-exfoliating/foaming option for damaged skin (good for retinol burn, for example). I’ll update this review when I get a better sense of it.
