Q: How long will these bags last before they biodegrade ? I wanted them for long term storage in my loft.

They are strong, as I used them for clothes storage in attic about 3 years now is still in good condition.

Q: Are the bags waterproof? I want to line a very large plant pot to collect rain water

Yes the are waterproof. I use them to cover items in the garden like bird bath and urn during the winter. They stay dry.

Q: Can you get the biodegradable ones without the words biodegradable stamped everywhere?

No idea about biodegradable ones but I doubt it as these are thick and tough.

Q: Are they big enough to cover a plant say15 ins tall

The bags are 2 dimensional and measure 90cm x 100cm. This in inches is 36" x 39" so I would think you should be ok with a plant 15" tall. I would also depend on the width and depth of the plant too.
