Not the sturdy of sets
This lego set was challenging to build but more frustrating ss when it frequently falls to bits practically requiring it to be reversed engineered to put it back together.

Another excellent example of why these Ninjago Lego sets are so popular...
The “NINJAGO Nya's Samurai X MECH” Set from Lego (Model# 71775) is a large Lego set containing multiple Ninjago action figures including a massive “Samurai X Mech” action figure who measures 32cm tall when fully built.Over recent years these Ninjago sets have become increasingly popular, especially with the cartoon TV series running for so many series, and there being so many sets and characters brought out over the last ten years. My son absolutely loves Ninjago. He has for years. Some of the sets he’s had have been huge and involved hours of him (and me) putting them together. This one is another excellent example of how impressive these larger sets are.The set consists of just over a thousand pieces, with the included instruction manual for putting the action figures together guiding you through the fun process of building well. As always with Lego sets, the instructions are excellent and very clearly presented. The end result is pretty spectacular. The Nya's Samurai X MECH figure is huge and looks excellent. There’s a tonne of detail included all over the figure, and all of its joint a fully positionable, making it a toy your kids can really play with rather than being just a posable figure.Indeed, all of the characters that come with the set are intricately detailed and come with an array of weapons which add to the entertaining fun of the games and adventures that such figures will likely conjure up in your child’s imagination. This set, in my opinion, is yet another excellent example of why these Ninjago Lego sets are so popular and deservedly so. The quality of the action figures, the attention to details, and the quality of the instruction manuals are spot on. Very highly recommended.

Intricate detail, fun to build and child friendly!
I decided to use this Lego build as an opportunity to bond with my 12 year old cousin. He's a real creative like myself and loves hands on building. I remember LEGO being an absolute classic in my childhood years and I really enjoyed sharing this special NINJAGO Nya's Samurai build with him. This build was really fun to do as the satisfaction of building something so complex yet functional made for a Lego build where you could actually take your time, follow the instructions and stop guessing ;).I have tried out much simpler structures in the past such as Minecraft homes and those were possible without the instructions, but this one felt like a proper puzzle, and one you could sit down with a friend, follow the instructions together and really take your time with. I say it is challenging and complex, though I mean this in a more design orientated term. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow so I am sure you or your child won't have an issue assembling all 1003 pieces! The Nya's Samurai Lego figure is really fun to play with once it has been built and the colour combinations are super bold and eye catching. This isn't just a build where you leave it to the side to collect dust once built, but one you can constantly enjoy playing with. Overall, 5 stars and nicely designed!Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

Mech action figure
The Lego 71775 Mech action figure is pretty special. I love the way this action character moves. This is definitely not an easy set to build and kids might require some adult help when assembling. This is a huge set and has 1003 pieces. In addition, you get 8 mini figures (some exclusive to this set). The set is pricey in my opinion coming in at £99.99 (at time of this review). But if you are a Ninjago fan or collector like me, I understand the need to get this set as it is awesome.

A brilliant mech set.
Which kid, or big kid even, doesn’t love building a mech out of Lego? They are probably one mine and my son’s most common and favourite challenge builds for each other, but this Ninjago Samurai X Mech is on a different level. For once when you complete the build you get something that looks exactly like it does on the box and can be placed in the same pose. This is a 10 years+ set and although the instructions were good (as you expect with Lego) it was more complicated and required a bit of strength i.e. to get the Mech’s feet on than other builds. It’s really impressive when built and of course being a mech and not a robot there’s a cockpit of sorts for a mini-figure to go in to control it. Ninjago sets, being in-house, tend, like City, Creator and Technics sets, to be a bit better value than the film tie-in ones most of the time. This set isn’t cheap, but the mech is pretty large and complex and you get 8 mini-figures and two dragon-type things, so I think that stacks up pretty well. Although it doesn’t have many tricks or functions as such the mech is very playable and my son advised that it had cleverly been designed so that its limb articulation was the same as a human’s i.e. it can’t bend its leg against the joint.PROS:Hugely impressive main Samurai X Mech build.Generous number of mini-figures included.Quite a colourful build overall.Looks just like the box image.Although it does have a number of larger, bespoke pieces (e.g. the samurai swords and knew guards), I can still these being used in our own builds (robot and mech ones certainly). The mech has firing weapons.CONS:At almost £100 it isn’t cheap but as Lego sets go, I actually don’t think that this is too bad value-wise.It is playable due to the mech, dragons and number of mini-figures, but it might have been nice to have some more functions e.g. more firing weapons like the ones on the mochas shoulders.OVERALL:I would think that this must be one of the best Lego Ninjago sets. I don’t think you’d need to be a fan of that series to appreciate it though, and the main Samurai X Mech build is just very impressive and inspiring for your own creations. It is probably one for older children, but the instructions are clear enough. Often a set build is a little less impressive than the box image, but here they match perfectly, right down the pose that the mech can be put in. Although it doesn’t have a lot of functions it is still playable not least because it includes 8 mini-figures. This is an easy set to recommend as it looks fantastic.
