My husband laughed when I bought this to try, but we have both used it, neither of us really believed it would work, but it actually does!The sooner you zap the bite the better it works, as your body has not had time to react and so can be prevented from doing so, however it is still worth zapping even if you don't catch it straight away, although it might take more clicks and not give total relief.I am exceptionally allergic to pretty much all insect bites, but with mosquitos it is not uncommon for one bite to produce a lump 4cm across, and on occasion up to 8cm (followed by visit to doctor the first time that happened!). None of the bites I have used this on have done that - not one. For me, that is unbelievable relief. They do sometimes start itching again hours later or the next day, especially in heat, but another few clicks soon stops them.I am now carrying this with me at all times, and have ordered more as I'm scared of losing it!

Excellent little item, suprisingly effective on even the most evil of bites - we suffered a lot of midge and horsefly bites this year while carp fishing and before I bought this I scratched and fussed and covered myself in creams to no avail. This device really takes the itch out, faster and more effectively than creams. Creams have their place of course as they take away the histamine flare up etc but the scratching does more damage than you realise as two infected bites showed me!Recommended, and doubles up as a gas lighter!

I had to use this gadget the day after receiving it. I got 2 bites on my leg and ankle overnight and they were the worst I have ever had for itching. I used this around the area and the itching lessoned and didn't come back as I kept on using it.Things to note:1. It is a small electric shock. If you press firmly on the area before doing it you don't feel it. If you just do a light trial on the back of your hand then you feel it, so don't.2. It has no batteries. The shock is created by the action of pressing the trigger. Therefore it should last a long time.3. It is mild enough for all the family including infants.This really worked for me and I do suffer with the itchiness of bites. The relief lasts a long time and you can repeat whenever needed as it is non medical.

Who'd have thought that such a simple device could put an end to the misery of insect bites?I'm a bit of greenie and don't like to use chemical sprays, so every summer I become a veritable smorgas board for biting insects. While the Zap-It doesn't stop the bites from happening, it does remove the unbearable itch. One squeeze of the little trigger and your worries are over!Initially, I'd thought that the Zap-It hadn't worked; I'd placed the end over a bite, pressed the button, felt a small electrical charge and the itching it continued. For the price, I wasn't overly surprised. It was only later that afternoon that I realised the bite was no longer itching. On subsequent applications, I noticed that it takes about 10 minutes to take effect, then after that, you have a good 10-12 hours relief.I've no idea how the Zap-It works, but work it does. For such a small, cheap device, it's incredible. One of my best finds of the year. Everyone should have one!

I had this style of zapper from Germany for years. As I react badly to any bites, I find it invaluable. Once you manage to expose the bite area to the last layer of your skin, your own antibodies can fight the stuff that causes the itch and bulging of the skin. There are 2 different styles. One that zaps like this one, one that pushes down into the bite with a cross hatch. Both are brilliant.The delivery was prompt and secure. Absolutely no problems or regrets. I can wholeheartedly recommend the gadget and the seller. 5 🌟 all round

As someone who gets eaten alive and as a bit of a demon scratch-er when I do get a bite I thought i would give one of these a go.I have had a few nasty bites in recent years and had a reaction to some of the creams, which never stop the itching IMHO.I was blown away by the Zap-It i have had a couple of random mosquito bites on various areas one on my shin and on my hip were quickly dealt with, i forgot i had them and lets be honest that is what you want. The zap doesn't hurt at all and best bit no messy cream to deal with that invariably wipes off on your clothes.I find that some bites require more zaps than others but its painless I even got a bite on my chin and zapped that and no pain at all.
