Fitted my Kenwood Chef XL perfectly
Found it really difficult to source the correct sized splash guard after I broke my original one as the model number differed from those listed online.Ordered based on a review from another XL owner and it turned out to be a perfect fit. I've owned my machine for about 3 years now.

Had to modify for old Kenwood chef
Reasonable quality - a bit thin, so probably not going to take abuse but ok if handled properly. As it arrives it does not fit a 20+ year old Kenwood, although this is hardly a valid criticism. Essentially the lip round the opening for the beater is too tall, where the release lever for the front PTO is( where you’d connect the mincer, for instance)However, five minutes with a small saw and a file, and a suitable slot cut, it works well. You have to fit it before you fit the beater, so it’s a bit awkward- but bear in mind, we have an ancient mixer and this probably won’t be your experience with a newer model. Only criticism is that it is a bit thinner than I’d like, and so is not as robust as the rest of the mixer, but as the mixer is built like a tank…

Incorrect information
The description says it is a universal fit and does all models. This is not correct!

Good replacement for Chef XL
This fit our Kenwood Chef XL like a direct replacement and I am happy with the purchase. If, like us, you have over enthusiastic young chefs in the house who love to operate the mixer and fee things into it (fully supervised of course) then sooner or later you will find the splash guard lid will break off. The plastic it is made from im guessing is polycarbonate and is fairly brittle in this application, because of the hinge there are small thin parts that when bent the wrong way with too much force will snap.Once the lid had snapped it was no longer safe for the kids to be involved so a quick flurry of search queries on Amazon revealed this product. I bought it and it came within a couple of days, just in time for the next batch of scones to mixed up first. The lid itself, fits perfectly in place of the old one like it was the same product, the plastic seems to be the same brittle polycarbonate as he last one so I'm not expecting it to last a long time but for the price I will happily just buy another when needed. So, my wife is happy, the kids are happy, I am happy and that little bit fatter.Would I recommend it to others? Yes!It's cheap, fits perfectly, arrives in good time, maybe not the strongest product but then neither is the original.

Not a great fit for 50 year old Kenwood Chef!
This serves its purpose in reducing splatter but doesn't grip onto the mixer. It is not specifically designed for the Chef so is loose and slips down every time the arm is raised, but it works okay and is easier to cope with than draping a cloth over the whole thing as you are mixing. Unlike the Kenwood Major there is no splatter guard specifically designed for the Chef.

Good fit for KM200
Very happy with this splash guard. Fits my Kenwood chef KM200 Stand mixer, which is an old yet reliable machine which I didn’t think I’d find a splash guard for! It doesn’t exactly click into place so it does move when you tilt the mixer head up but I don’t think this is a problem at all! It covers the bowl very well

Saves a lot of mess.
I have a much loved Kenwood mixer with a much repaired cover. It fell off if you gave it a dirty look. So I bought a new one. I like to bake so there is potentially lots of flour around the kitchen. Not now. This simple device saves me a lot of work.
