Enthralling!! and as always an Excellent James Patterson!!
This is the first James Patterson book I've read in a while. But as part of my Kindle Unlimited reading challenge this was the only title that interested me. I enjoyed the first book immensely having read a few of the Women's Murder Club mysteries years ago. Lindsey is tasked with finding her father's killer, a man she thought had died years ago and with whom she was estranged. Fast paced, interesting and with enough twists and turns to make you dizzy. I especially liked the fact that there wasn't a lot of extra dialogue and scenery details to bog down the story. Well written, it held my interest and kept me guessing until the end. Classic Patterson.I have to be honest and say I only skimmed through books 2 & 3, for some reason they just didn't hold my interest like 23 1\2 hours. They both started out well but I soon lost interest. Probably just me, but as I purchased this book versus borrowing from KU, I will go back and completely read them at some point, probably when the snow is falling and I need something to read on a cold winter afternoon. Otherwise I recommend for the first book alone, it was well worth the price.

Novellas with Different Ratings
There are three novellas in this collection. The best one, the Women’s Murder Club, is first and it rates a five. Boxer is in fine shape and taking on the bad guys while she is also concerned with family matters. The second one is the only Texas Ranger book I have ever read and it is a solid four, with plenty of action. The characters were fairly well developed and the plot moved at a good pace, but I could I have done without the gory descriptions. And the train scene was a cliche from old movies. Finally, the last one with an artist for a protagonist. I hardly know what to say because it was not good. I would give it a generous two stars. The plot is trite, the characters are flat and the pace is slow, including a cross country road trip that was boring and felt totally contrived, like it was added to the plot because a filler was needed. I enjoyed the first novella with Boxer, was intrigued by the second one featuring Ranger Rory Yates and wish I had passed on the third one because it was a waste of my reading time.I checked out a copy of this book from my local library via the Libby App. I was not required to write a positive review, and all opinions expressed are my own.

Ok
I bought this book at a reduced price and glad I did. I didn't realize that this book included other books, 2 more. I bought it for the Women's Murder Club. It was okay. As always I liked the characters and the plot was a surprise, at least for Lindsay, and for the reader too. I really wasn't enthralled by this book and I'm sure I'll read the other 2 at some point, but not today.

Love the Women's Murder Club
I love the Women's Murder Club. This was a surprise only half the book is covering the Women's Murder Club. The other half is about a Texas Ranger. I found this quite interesting.

Snappy Women’s Murder club minus the club
Short story about Lindsey and birth family with almost nothing about the Murder club or her husband and daughter. None the less engaging ,good story depth and intrigue. Quick ,worthwhile read
