Great bit of kit, well made, good quality image, depth of colour, sound etc. highly portable
Great bit of kit, well made, good quality image depth of colour, sound is good too. Battery doesn't last too long but plugs in to a power bank via usb-c. It has to be pretty dark before you can see the projected image so it probably wouldn't double as a TV in a lounge unless you only watched in the evening or had fully blacked out room, despite this it's really good and does well for its size and gives us a great 100"plus screen on the bedroom wall if we are too tired to keep watching in the lounge and it has been to work with me and displayed on the wall whilst fitting out new bathrooms, gives a bit of company whilst working in the garage, the lad has used it for a birthday party outside at night with the ps5 hooked up, had this for a couple of months and would fully recommend.

Compact, sharp, and surprisingly handy—just mind the quirks
I picked up a refurbished Nebula Capsule 3 Laser because I wanted a palm‑sized projector for casual use—and it’s been a solid companion most days. 🔍 Picture & brightness The 1080p laser and DLP setup delivers sharp, punchy visuals in dim lighting. In dark rooms and on camping walls, it really shines—though you’ll easily spot those little pixel gaps (screen-door effect) if projecting big (over ~75″) . Still, for backyard movie nights and bedtime shows, I’m more than happy with it. 🕹️ Performance & interface It boots fast, autofocuses, and auto-keystones in about three seconds—super handy for quick setups . The built-in Android TV and 8W mono speaker are decent, and I often cast using Chromecast. Just note that navigation can lag, especially in the native UI—external HDMI or Chromecast is noticeably snappier . ⚡ Battery & portability Weighs just under 1 kg with a 52 Wh battery—roughly 2½ hours of video playback or 10 hours as a Bluetooth speaker . It’s perfect for road trips or evenings away from outlets. Recharges in about 3 hours . 🌡️ Heat & fan noise The laser brings brighter visuals but also a busier fan—it hums noticeably once warmed up . Not loud enough to cause distractions, but expect a bit of background noise during quiet scenes. ✅ Pros • Small, portable: fits in a bag or even your hand . • Auto-focus/keystone makes setup easy . • Laser sharpness enhances contrast—laser longevity promises 30K hours . • Built-in Android TV + casting support = flexible, on-the-spot streaming. ⚠️ Cons • Screen-door effect is visible on large projections . • UI lag unless you use an external input . • Fan noise is more noticeable than previous LED models . • Brightness drop in daylight or well-lit rooms—best used in dim settings . ⸻ 💡 Verdict For a refurbished mini laser projector, the Capsule 3 Laser punches above its weight. It’s compact, quick to use, and ideal for movies or casual presentations in the dark. The laser adds crisp contrast and longevity, and while the UI can lag and the fan hums, casting and external inputs make it work well. Just keep expectations realistic: it’s not a home cinema beast, but it’s an excellent travel and casual-use companion—just don’t expect perfection. If you’re looking for something pocketable and flexible for light use, this is a solid pick—especially at a great refurbished price.

We're really enjoying this
Reasonably quiet operation, I was worried about the fan noise but I can watch a film with the projector next to me and not notice it. It's android TV, with the exception that Netflix - like most android TV projectors - is difficult to use directly on the projector. You can get around this issue by finding what you want on your phone first. Same scenario with BBC player, but you can cast without issue. It's small and lightweight, you'll need a small tripod to help point it at the wall. Auto focusing is great but I'm always manually tweaking it too. Picture quality is great. Overall, it's been a greatearly Christmas present.

It’s small size hides it’s extremely good performance see
Seemed expensive and was happy to get this mint used and refurbished for £200 discount. Bought it for camping trips next season but use it at home now because it’s that good. It’s not 4k but good enough 1080p for all round use. Sit behind the unit for the best sound. For my off grid friends it pulls 27watts running it from my Bluetti usb c port

Returned
Just not what was expected. 400ansi lumens just isn't enough in the daytime or nightime. Unit itself is well made, looks good and operates well, just no where near bright enough to be of any use even in a dark room. Now Amazon refuse to refund me unless I send ID to a dodgy software company in the USA. Asked Anker Nebula for help, they refused. Never using Amazon or Anker again. Update. April 2025. Finally got refunded through Amazon and to add insult to Injury Anker have just messaged offering a full refund. Bit late Anker, Shame you couldn't be bothered to help when I reached out to you months ago for assistance and you flat refused. Seems your only bothered when a poor review impacts your sales. Dropped to 1* for Ankers cheek and poor service.

Fantastic piece of kit. I use it in my campervan. Superb picture quality, and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Good but expensive!
I upgraded from the nebula capsule 2 to the laser 3. The laser 3 is twice as bright, the picture is much clearer and rarely goes out of focus in comparison. Much better projector, however it is very expensive. If you’ve got loads of disposable income, then I recommend it!

Renewed = Faulty. Avoid.
I bought 2 of these. The first one was physically damaged, as if someone had the 'lid' off it using a knife. Despite being marked as renewed condition 'excellent', it was not. So I returned it. It worked well though, I must say. I ordered a replacement. That arrived sealed like new, not a single mark on it. Yet it did not charge properly, despite my powerbank saying it was delivering 40w into the device, the projector was accepting charge at a ridiculously slow rate. Took 10 hours to fully charge and so, renewed = faulty. Avoid. Either buy brand new or don't bother with this projector.

Alles Bestens!

Absolute Katrastrophe!
