I purchased this drive because the price is right. The brand is trustworthy so wasn't much of a gamble. My criticism of drives constructed int his way is that the USB part bends quite easily so they arent my first choice. But I don't regret the purchase and it isn't a daily-use item for me so its good.

Thought since this 512 GB USB drive was being sold by Acer it would be a good back up product for files on my new HP desktop. Not so. It took several hours to back up just part of one folder of documents. At one point the estimated time was for all day for just this folder. Once removed I tried a 2.0 flash drive from another company and it did the work for 4 folders in less than 3 hours. I tried it on my older Samsung laptop and it was extremely slow there as well.

The drive is extremely slow to transfer small files and when I try to transfer anything in the 30 GB range to it the drive just stops responding. Even tried reformatting NTFS and couldn't get it to go any faster or handle large files.

I've now tried a large file transfer from/to this flash drive on various machines - USB ports with painfully SLOW speeds across the board. I'll sit on this for emergency use not worth the time and effort to return.

Bought this flash drive brand new but showed up with packaging visibly torn and opened. Seems very suspicious.

Worthless. Lost everything. Does not work at all.
