A friend of mine had one of these and I thought it was so smart. They roll up very tight and compactly for traveling which is the main reason I got it. It is easy to put on and the velcro stays well. I have a big head and have a hard time with hats but since this has a hole/opening at the top it hasn't been a problem. And I love that i can put the hat on even if I have my hair up in a ponytail or bun (as it is typically up in one of those when outside in the summer). It solves that great dilemma of I want to wear a hat but I don't want to have my hair down which was a solution I didn't even anticipate but I love it! I use it gardening all the time now, not just for travel.

I love these hats. Everyone seems to look good in them. I have them now in five colors. I wear them to the beach and around the pool. They are made of light weight woven paper but feel like a fabric. The brim is wide enough to keep the sun off your face. You can easily make them fit your head size by just adjusting the velcro. I travel a lot and they rollup to almost nothing. They have a built in elastic band to tie them together for travel. I often get compliments when I wear them. I have used them primarily at the beach but I also have arrived at summer parties with them on with a sundress and everyone wants to know where I got "the hat". Recently, I was in a discount women's clothing store and saw a similar, but not as good hat. I tried it on and it was not as nice and the price was $20! The woman next to me was considering buying one and then I told her about these one Amazon. She put her's down and said, "I'm off to buy four of them for this price on Amazon." If you like to wear hats and value your skin, these are a great buy!

Hats and appropriate sun coverage are VERY important to me. Every time I am outdoors I can notice my dark spots getting darker, and new ones emerging, regardless of how much sunscreen I have on and whether or not I have a hat. Therefore, I take my hats very seriously! I love straw sun hats, but for traveling, they aren't practical. I've yet to travel with one that doesn't end up getting smashed/ruined, and they are expensive. I found these roll-up hats and thought it was a genius invention and would be perfect for my upcoming cruise. I was super excited for them to arrive, I love how they were all rolled up so neat and compactly. I tried a few one (I bought several colors) and was initially quite pleased with the amount of coverage the hat provided and the way it looked. I was worried it would be dented from being rolled up but it smoothed out pretty well, I'd say about 80% smooth and about 20% wrinkly, but tolerable wrinkly.Anyway, on to the cruise! While at home my brief time wearing the hat I was happy, I really wasn't on the cruise.1 - I developed two brand new sun spots even though I had the hat on the ENTIRE time I was outdoors. I'm really iffy on their SPF 50 claim.2 - it wasn't comfortable on the back of my neck. My bathing suit straps kept rubbing up against the bulging Velcro at the back (the part that keep the hat rolled up when not in use) and I just constantly found myself pulling and tugging between my bathing suit straps and the hat, trying to get comfortable. In particular, if you tip your head backwards, the hat becomes very uncomfortable on the back of your neck.3 - the slightest gust of wind and it blew off4 - it was difficult to roll up as neatly as it was when I first received it.For these reasons, I will not be recommending this hat and I will not be using it again. If the SPF claims were true there is no reason I should have had more skin discoloration from a 4 day cruise (and believe me, I was trying to avoid the sun on my face as much as possible).

$4.79 with free shipping? I thought that this was too good to be true but got it anyway and I am glad I did. It's well made and looks stylish when worn with enough sun coverage. It's also foldable and that's nice for travel. The only negative is the shipping takes a long long time. But if you don't need it right away and can wait for this hat then it's worth it. I see other similar hats for higher prices on Amazon. I believe they're all made by the same factory in China and people just mark it up with different prices. So this was the lowest price that I could find and I am glad I got it.

I was excited to wear this when it arrived in the mail. It was mailed rolled up, and the mail kind of flattened it a bit, so it needs to be flattened properly now. That aside, the brim is very nice and wide and will be great for sunny days. My problem was that it is sometimes very windy where I live, and the wind kept catching the brim and blowing it off. Attaching ties will look funny, but I may opt to do that so I can use it more!

I have 3 of these hat's I love them..Got me three to match my bathing suits...They are also easy to pack, don't take up alot of room in your suitcase since they roll up...I recommend these cute little hat's to anyone.

I have used this seller for a couple of years, now... Numerous amount of times. The quality is good, and the hats are classy, chic hot wrapped in one. People of all ages ask me where do I get my hats from? I have just about every color. I have a normal size head, but a lot of hair and the hats fit fantastically. I am just now writing a review because I ordered more for some elderly friends. I am 29 years old, fyi. This hat keeps the sun out of my face, while I am cruising, on the beach, at the pool, etc. I live in NY, I always receive the hat in approximately 3 -4 days.

I put this hat on and my head disappeared!! I wanted it for travel, but i couldnt even see unless i looked downward or tipped my head upward! Never even mind about periferal vision!!I donated it.
