Dated
I have read and enjoyed many of Sara Craven's books, but this one did not sit well with me. The herione naively carries out a favour for a complete stranger and ends up being mistaken for the stranger, abducted and taken to the "hero"'s plantation. She is NOT seduced by the "romantic hero", but is taken by force despite protesting that she is not the person he believes her to be. She was unwilling and tried to resist, but our "hero" ignores her and continues, even complaining that she is not particularly enthusiastic. Duh.He then insists on her marrying him because she was a virgin and has "dishonoured" her. So that's alright then. No it isn't.Whilst I appreciate that this is fictionand was written some time ago, this is the year 2020 & you cannot treat women like this. There is a world of difference between a masterful man & a rapist. In this book they are the same.
