As described
This stepstool works for what it was designed for. It fits pretty well (not perfect, but close enough) on our high toilet and is light enough that my toddler can maneuver it into place on her own. That being said, there was some minor issues with assembly and a few design flaws.1) The instructions were, I believe, meant to be more than a single quarter page with only a picture on it. As such, I only received that small picture. It's not "Ikea" level rocket science, but it took a bit to figure out what screws went into which wholes, and which direction. Had I left it to my spouse, it would have gone in the trash, but luckily one of us is mechanically inclined.2) The material is midgrade. I believe this should hold up to the use of a single toddler until she's tall enough to not need it, but I would not see it holding up to prolonged and frequent use.3) Skid stoppers- these to not sit in the feet with enough height to provide adequate stopping power. Also, they are simply placed, and rather loosely for a safety feature, in the base feet. I have a rug in my bathroom that takes the force, but would honestly either go buy different rubber stoppers and/or glue them to prevent them falling out and getting lost.4) The screws are turned by a special, very large, pink squared wrench. In theory, a great idea. Practicality says I will, or likely already have lost it. This would make changing the step height extremely difficult.Overall, it works for the purpose and my kid likes it, so it gets 4 stars.

Safer than most.
We have so many potty things for my son and they all have pros and cons. He's three so the pros are limited, but he's cute which is a powerful multiplier. This is great because he will actually pull it out and unfold it himself and position it. He can climb it himself but it's scary because somehow it doesn't always meet the floor like the feet aren't always adjusted properly. I don't know if I'm saying that right.I'm told that the next part is just a boy thing. It's a larger target than literally any potty we have ever had in our home. A LARGER TARGET and urine was on the front of the seat and all the way down the stairs and onto the floor and because he didn't have any trouble getting up and down it when it was set up by us (hence me putting it away in between uses) I didn't know until I went to potty and had to clean first. Guess who suddenly had to go potty again. Mommy's turn dude! Use your little potty on the floor!Anyway. Overall this is good. The foot pedals being adjustable or whatever makes it hard for me not to be ready when I hear him go in there (although I'm already sitting there determining whether he's been quiet too long anyway because he's discovered that soap is fun to play with but nothing is clean except the drain))

Works great; horrible to assemble
Let me start by saying this seat came with a sheet of “easy to assemble” directions which were not directions but rather a diagram of how to fit the plastic bolts together using the plastic tool provided. Seems simple enough right... nope! I put this thing together 3 times! I wish I did a how to video for others but I wasn’t thinking out that at the time. Best advice I can give is take the seat and all parts in to your bathroom and assemble there. It will give you the right height and tell you if the handles are facing the wrong way. There is a very specific way to assemble each part so put them all together before you screw anything together trust me! Also they screw and bolts should fit together fairly easily if your meeting resistance it’s not aligned properly and you should stop try again. Otherwise the product is fairly durable for a small child and it folds to lean against the wall. It’s the right height for boys to stand and pee. Overall very happy now I just hope this serves as a warning to others so you don’t experience the same frustration initially.

Happy with our Purchase
My 3 year old son really likes this potty seat. The price is great (imo). He has no trouble using it on his own since it has a step and handles. It's very light-weight so my son can put it back if Daddy or I move it. The seat comes with different feet depending on the height of your toilet. It does require assembly--which takes a little time screwing the plastic pegs in place with the flower-shaped driver (the seat part itself seemed slightly trickier to tighten), but I wouldn't say it's a problem. It's possible for the seat to shift sometimes (depending on how it's meeting the floor and toilet seat), but it is much sturdier than the standard potty seat we had before.I definitely recommend it for any parent considering an alternative solution to the stool/seat combination.

Not very easy to start out need training
I'm not very happy with this potty seat. First of all it moves forward when my son tries to sit on top, it's not very stable I have to help him sit back. Second there's not a splash guard for little boys so the seat often gets wet. Then it doesn't suitable for wearing winter pants or pull up diapers. Child cannot climb, turn and sit back with pants on his ankles. He has to take off pants entirely to get up there right sweat pants hinder the action. My son is 3 years old, he has very good gross motor control but feel reluctant to sit on potty seat when it's hard to use.Update: it has improved significantly the next day of potty training. The trick is you have to hold the handle and back up on it instead of facing it and climb. Because holding the handle facing up can push the seat too much inside and make sitting down harder. A boy has to sit right in the middle to avoid splashing. Too much backward or forward both cause spraying out of the ring. I can imagine girls won't have similar problems.

Seems to be made for taller/older children, not young toddlers.
I bought this product for my two year old so she could use the toilet independently with close supervision and help as needed. She is able to climb up, but the step isn’t deep enough for her to turn around to sit on the toilet by herself. I also had to choose between putting it up high enough for her to reach the step from the toilet, or low enough for her to reach the step from the ground. In my opinion, a ladder with deeper treads and two steps would be ideal for where we are with learning to use the toilet. We have decided to go back to using the little potty on the floor until she grows into this product.

Perfect for my toddler!
Love everything about this potty. Makes it so much easier for my little girl to go on her own (which she loves). Customer service was excellent. I had some issues receiving the wrong item from Amazon a few times but the manufacturer cleared it up and made sure I finally received the correct one.
