The Bug Ball - The perfect yellow fly trap! This 18 inch PVC Ball is the best fly trap on the market. This Kit includes: - 3x 18inch black PVC balls(high quality weather resistant ) - Suction Cup Kit ( to tie rope to the ball) - inflation needles ( used for blowing up the ball) Step 1. You will need Tanglefoot , or substitute with another type of goo Step 2. Blow the ball up, then hang the ball from a post or tree limb about chest high Step 3. Then apply the goo all over the ball NOW YOU HAVE A GIANT FLY TRAP! Review: took a while to receive but other than that, what I wanted. Good product Review: Catches lots of horseflies. Then they bite the ball and the ball deflates. Comes with repair patches, but in order to repair all of the super-sticky glue and dead horseflies have to be thoroughly cleaned off the ball. Then the flies bite through it again. I wonder if making the material thicker would stop this from happening. If so these would be a 5-star solution, but otherwise they are only good for as long as they can stay inflated.

I have used these bug balls for 2 years now. They seem to be putting a dent in the deer fly population, although they will not eradicate them altogether. I give 4 stars only because Amazon once sent me a USED BUG BALL that someone had clearly mailed back. It caused me a bunch of hassle dealing with the refund because i didn't want to mail it back to Amazon.

I live next to a preserve and the yellow flies are awful this year. This photo is after one day. I ended up putting all three up after seeing this and after a couple weeks there are way more on it. I did have to reapply some of the sticky spray because the balls had dirt and other debris on them making them less sticky but could care less as long as it keeps working. Would highly recommend!
