As a rookie this book has provided me with a perfect springboard for my foundation training program

I am an RDS & more recently WDS Firefighter. This book has been very beneficial and has simplified my learning. Very comprehensive and easy to understand which is how we like it when the pressure is on. I was advised to get the 3 series of books by my BA Instructor when I asked post course if there would be any further reading I could use for revision and to keep my knowledge fresh.

Having only been a retained firefighter for just over 2 years, this book is a godsend for learning more about CFBT. The author has really broken down all the science and made it such an easy read that I didn't want to put it down! I would recommend this book to not just trainee firefighters but any level as you will definitely benefit from its content. Can't wait for the next volume to come out in April 2017.

This book is written in practical and understandable terms to suit the needs of firefighters at all levels.Excellent value for money and recommend for both new and experienced firefighters in Local Authority, Airport, Industrial and private fire brigades. The book is a useful text also for other risk management professionals and responders.

A fantastic book that every firefighter should get their hands on. Benjamin, breaks down the information skillfully and at a level that it’s easy to comprehend even for individuals with no previous experience.

I bought this book for my work, expecting more of the same old boring textbooks, but surprisingly, within a couple of chapters, I was hooked and found myself wanting to read more and more.The author writes in a very conversational and informal style, but explains each concept clearly and easily, without drowning everyone in maths or physics. The short revision elements at the end of each chapter are really useful for embedding knowledgeI would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about firefighting, or fire generally, especially those who want a refreshing break from the normal, boring approaches to fire service textbooks. I personally am looking forward to the companion pieces in this series on operations and training.

Dieses Buch ist eine interessante Lektüre aus dem englischen Bereich. Es ist einfach und verständlich geschrieben und wer sich in diesem Feld bereits bewegt wird schnell Gemeinsamkeiten feststellen. Alles in allem eine sehr interessante Buchreihe über die Brandentstehung, (dieses Buch) Branderkennung und Brandbekämpfung.

Conocimiento accesible para cualquiera, con contenidos actualizados y bien explicados con ejemplos y situaciones reales. Un texto básico para cualquier bombero.
