Very nice
Love this thing. I’m not sure that’s actually tourmaline though. The jade is real, and the hot stone sensation is great

Works wonderfully!
This is the 3rd one of these heating pads I’ve bought. After purchasing one for myself, I bought one for each of my kids too. It really works on such a deeper level than ordinary heating pads.

Stops working
I used this a handful of times and now gives E1 error. Its under a 1 year warranty but no one will contact me for support.

Large heating pad, surely different
This heating pad was certainly not what I expected. First things first, it is big (28"x17", I should have read that...) but the actual heating area is the smaller area in the picture where the stones are (roughly 19"x12"). The whole construction is on the stiffer side, so don't expect to fold it over a shoulder for example - this seems to be thought for use over the whole back, and it works for that purpose. I wouldn't call it appropriate for the neck though, it would take some serious ingenuity to fit it around it.Now, the instructions say to wait for about 10 minutes for it to heat up, and they are right - you do need to wait for the stones to warm up. Once it is warmed up though, the feeling is really nice, and it feels like it penetrates pretty well. The first time I used it, it gave off an unpleasant smell reminiscent of burning plastic - this dissipated later though, and there was hardly any smell the second time I used it.Now, if you read more carefully, this pad claims to be emitting far infrared rays, which supposedly penetrate deeper into the skin to increase circulation. I cannot attest to whether this is true or not, but if this holds, it might be a great complement to the more standard NIR therapy. Worth a try :)

Wow.
So I will state up front, I got this for free. I also have had another IR heating pad as well in the past that was my daily use for some chronic back pain that I have from multiple discs that have degenerated as i've gotten older. This device is pretty impressive, at least when it comes to heat.First, it shows actual temperature, which is good, I am tired of the vague "1-6" numbers that don't really give you an idea. Whether its REALLY that hot. I don't know. I do know that having the ability to turn it up or down in a controllable way is helpful. As far as the heat, it's intense, more so than the other IR pad that I have been using, and also this one doesn't have the silly flashing red lights that the other one did which is nice as well so I can use this on another body part than my back if needed unlike the other one.it also does things by HOUR, not by 10 minute increment. This can be a little dangerous if you ask me. My therapists usually dont suggest heat for that long of a time. I usually do 30 mins at a time so without your own timer, you can find yourself doing 2 hours. Just be mindful of this. though the two hours was incredibly nice i would not do this often. If i have a criticism of this device, its the layout of the power cable/connector.The connector is fine. it has a nice 6" or so length cable from the pad that connects to the power cable. However it is along the side of the heating pad AND faces the side lengthwise. The cord is also a bit shorter than most of the heating pads I have. Why this is an issue, for me at least, is that I usually will have the cord run behind my recliner, and the heating pad run down the back of my recliner, which gives it a little bit more sturdiness of staying up. I think this may be intentional as the pad is much heavier than most due to the stones, but between the length of the cord, and the fact i have to twist to get things situated, versus the majority of the other heating pad I have, this is kind of a pain. As anyone with back pain will tell you, twisting isn't fun and is counter productive.Other than that, I have been using it a couple weeks now, I've gotten the hang of it for the most part, but those items above are about my only complaints, and due to how much heat I get from it, I can overlook it. I've put the other IR heating pad in the closet for backup. I would take this and put it in my bedroom but the fact remains, 2 hours, with the ability to accidentally set it for up to 5... i don't think that's a wise idea.Pros:- A bit more control in temperature as it shows temperature and not levels like most.- Will stay on for hours. See cons.- Fairly study constructionCons:- It can stay on for hours. I am pretty certain this isn't a good thing for my back long term. However it feels so good you can forget that... BE CAREFUL.- Cable layout isn't great (short, and location of cord connector on pad.

Stones dislodge; usefulness decreases; gets hotter on the outside; poor company support
Product was used for Piriformis Syndrome pain. It helped, because heat works. The touted stones became dislodged after a half dozen uses, went into the unheated leatherette borders rendering many useless, and the pad less effective. I wrote to the company a weeks ago for warranty assistance, but received no response to date. The pad gets hotter on the outside than at the side that is applied to the injury.

Great Heating Pad
What’s in the Box:This product includes the heating pad, power cord, storage pouch and instructions sheet.Quality:The quality of this product seems good. The heating pad itself is made of a faux leather type of material (Pleather?), and the side that faces you when you use it is a nice mesh material covered in coin sized “Stones”. The controller unit also seems to be well made and has a nice easily legible screen and buttons.Dimensions:This heating pad is about 28 inches long.Ease of Use:Using this heating pad is very easy. You simply attach the power cord and plug it in. Next, place the heating pad where you will be using it, either lying or in a chair. Be sure to place the side with the stones towards you. The instructions recommend placing a towel or blanket between you and the heating pad, however I leaned directly against the heating pad and was fine. After you are in position, simply use the buttons to select your desired temperature and timer length.Final Verdict:I am over 40, which means I have a lot of different heating pads that I have been using to relieve my various aches and pains. This is my first infrared heating pad and I must say I like it. It is supposed to simulate “Hot stone” therapy. Overall I liked the heat/warmth that is produced by the heating pad. Even though this heating pad is covered in “Stones”, I did not find it uncomfortable to lay on. The one thing I didn’t like about this heating pad is that it has a very strong smell. I believe it is because it is made of this faux leather like material. I think after it has aired out for a while, the strong smell will go away.
