They are very tight on the foot, hard to put on. The person I bought those for, complained about the tightness so I decided to try on my 7 female size feet - socks are way too tight, too much compression, does not feel good.

Q: so are these the actual ones that are shipped with the gray bottoms, or are they all black socks? i need the ones with the gray bottoms

It depends - I ordered this same product 3 tones; the first two times, I got the socks I expected with the reinforced grey bottoms. The third time, I got the thin all black socks.
