yes it works fine
OK I got this morning, so we had poached eggs for breakfast. So after reading some of the reviews I was thinking this could be a real waste of money? How and what I did?1 boiled kettle2 filled poacher with hot water3 put in microwave 1 minute4 put in two eggs in trays5 put in two eggs without trays?6 cooked for 2 minutesThe eggs came out soft yoke not runnynext ting Ill cook for 1.30 minutesAsk others have said the egg can get stuck in the tray I think water will have to be rolling boil to stop this? The other two eggs done with out trays, came out great took out with plastic spoon that came with my slow cooker just the right size. The eggs was nice shape soft not runny, but not hard yoke. I filled the no tray half way with water, next time Ill use less 1/4 fill.I have had my breakfast, me and the other half, she dont like poached eggs but made her try one?Her words... wow you know me I dont like poached eggs but they are really nice, I would have them done like this and eat them for breakfast when you cook them or even tea time with bacon beans.I do think you have to try different timings for you microwave no of this I have a 800watt and cook for ???? that dont mean a thing not ever 800 watt microwave is the same, or any other wattage are the same differ by make as well.test test try try you will get it right in the end.

Eggstastic.
Came as described. Well made. Easy to clean.Reading the reviews only one (from the good and bad) that i saw noted the cooking times. I followed that and had perfect poached eggs first time. So thank you.For reference.... 700w microwave used to poach 2 eggs. Top up water to fill line(diagonal baskets). Microwave on full power for one min. Add eggs to water. Carefully prick each yolk to prevent explosion. Microwave for 90 secs on 80% power (white was solid and yolk was runny but you can check after a min, then every 10 secs if you want). Eat and enjoy.

Trouble-free, taste eggs...
Bought this as another means to save more energy (during current cost of living crisis), rather than boiling kettle and heating pan on hob etc., to make poached eggs. After a little bit of trial and error on timing, I wish I'd got one years ago. Turns out to be trouble-free. Tasty eggs with hardly any mess. Really easy to clean. Great gadget!

Egg clogs the trays
Eggs took closer to 3-4 minutes rather that the 2 mins on the label, and mine is a 900w microwave. The colanders have slots to allow water in to poach, but the egg yolk dribbles out and then cooks into the slots. Ignore the video ahowing them sliding out, you need a spoon! Cleaning is a really fiddly job due egg in the slots. So far I hav'nt had a good egg. Also the Amazon page says add cold water, the label says add 'Lukewarm' All in all, a bit of an overhyped product IMHO.

Simply Rubbish!
I have purchased a small number of Sistema items, of which some work well and some not so well, but this poacher excels itself by being?- absolutely useless! I have the Soup Mug, the Fish Steamer/Large Plate, the Egg unit- all of which work well and are used on a regular basis.I also have the Vegetable Steamer which gives passable vegetables but the 4 Egg Poacher seems to be incapable of producing eggs that have a soft yolk without the remainder simply looking ghastly- or a passable white with a bullet hard yolk. You pay your money and you make your choice!Such a shame as, just with all the Sistema range I have, the manufacturing and quality of build is first class. My advice to Sistema?- don't produce anymore as it's seems, for me at least, to not be worth the money or expectations.

Perfect poached eggs every time!
Never could poach eggs, they always turned out a MESS! This little device produces the perfect poached egg every time. Easy to use, easy to clean cannot fault it. The down side is my 5 grand daughters are always pestering me for poached eggs now when they come to my house. Think I'll get some hens!

Love it and bought another one :)
have poached 4 eggs, 3 eggs, and mostly 2 eggs, all with good to very good results, good results were at the first time of using, by the second time it was very good/perfect for me as soft yolk and hard white. For me I used boiling water not luke warm, this prevent majority of the egg white from leaking between the slots as it immediately starts to harden in boiling water! I also fill the water higher than the line shows for large eggs, reason for this is all down to the yolk, if you microwave without the yolk/full egg being covered the yolk will be hard. Also remember size of eggs does mater in the timing, I nearly always use large eggs but sometimes Organic eggs which tend to come in random sizes often.A couple of times there is a small amount of egg white left but has always come off quickly when cleaning, have never used oil or anything with this unit, which I recommend highly, better to undercook when first using and getting the timing right for number and size of eggs you are using, can always give it 5 or 10 seconds longer if needed until perfect. It is quite large but does fit in my microwave but if you have a small microwave recommend you go for a 2 egg one rather than this.

Makes snotty poached eggs
I am so done with messing around in a pan of manky looking water to make poached eggs for this keto nonsense so I thought I would do the grown up thing and buy another gadget to, in theory make my life easier but in actual fact just to languish in my cupboard alongside the Nutri-bullet and avocado scoop (a spoon works just as well). This looked bright and pretty and vaguely like something from a fertility clinic so I thought I would give it a try. Well, it's pretty useless unless you like the whites of your poached eggs snotty. I don't. It doesn't matter how long you put it in the poppity-ping the whites still come out runny. Grim. Save your money.
