Very much love this series of mangas one of the first mangas I've ever read and having the collection I read it multiple times. If you're thinking of starting manga I would definitely recommend it's got abit of everything

I read cirque du freak in its original form - that is the twelve small novettes that make up the series.Loved the series as a fourteen year old; now eighteen I still enjoy them today. This was a perfect choice for me - combinding that love with a long interest in manga styles and comics.It follows the books pretty well and the artist managed to capture the characters Mr Shan has portrayed in a unique way. Even though I knew the plot its always interesting to see how it is portrayed in its comic form.If you are already a fan of the series then you may like this. But in a sense it is the same story - there isn't anynew adds or plot twists and you may not want to pay out for another set of the books - all be it in a comic book format.If you don't care about having the same story then I recommend this.Also - From the product picture this is the american version of the book cover. If you buy the comic in a local bookshop you may end up with the europian version.There is no difference to the comic inside but the covers are very different. If you want all your books to have the same style of cover be wary - as it isn't clear which version you may end up with. Originally this bothered me and I wasn't too pleased to find this out just as it arrived. Due to the fact I've been buying them online, alot of my books have the american style of the cover - and TBH I don't care anymore.
