Better than I expected
I got these for my 5-year-old cuz she's super into coloring right now and she loves them and I thought they were really nice they. I love the case they come in and how the second tray of pencils have little handles to make it easier to pull the tray out. Also the DIY color sheet is great because my daughter would color on the side of the picture to try and see what the pencil looks like before she used it and now she has to do is look at the color chart that she colored herself even. They are good quality and pretty durable. My five year old can definitely be very rough with crayons, pencils, pens, markers, chalk and these haven't failed her.

Metallic is light
The media could not be loaded. Great pencils, they tend to be a bit dusty so be careful with layers and the metallic is very light. I really like them. The colors are not bright happy colors so dont expext that. They tend to be kinda gloomy in my opinion. So if i want them happy a will pair with a brighter color. Different opinions for different people though. Good Luck.

Pleasantly surprised!
I wasn't sure what to expect for these pencils, as I was not familiar with this brand & the price was so reasonable. Received this set and Kalour's 50 piece Pastel Colored Pencil set yesterday. I have to say I'm impressed with these. They are not as "creamy" as Prismacolors which I have, but I didn't expect them to be at this price point. The pencils aren't overly metallic, I'd describe them as a satin finish as compared to a high sheen which is fine for my purposes (saw another reviewer noted that burnishing them would provide a more shiny finish, I've not tried that yet).Pros:- 50 pencils for $22.99 is a bargain.- Great range of colors, heavy on the purples, blues, & greens which is perfect as they are the colors I tend to use most in any coloring medium (colored pencils, fineliner pens...).- Can get a nice range of intensity just varying how much pressure you use, and it doesn't take a ton of layers to get a darker result. I also find that as they are not as soft/creamy as the Prismacolor (didn't expect them to be), I am not using as heavy a hand when coloring with them as I do with Prismacolors, so this is a plus for me (less hand fatigue).- Get alot of mileage out of the pencil before you need to sharpen it again.- Comes with a DIY Color Chart to fill in - I always make one for what I buy but Kalour including one (on a heavier paper even!), that also is large enough to be useful but small enough to tuck into the case is very nice!- Lightfastness rating, color number, & color name are provided on the pencils, the DIY Color Chart, & the inside of the box lid!- The exterior of the pencil is colored and is very representative of the actual color of the pencil!- Colors arranged together, and then ranging from light to dark within the color groups (this is NOT the case with their pastel colored pencil set)- Nice quality box for storing the pencils.Cons:- Not available open stock as far as I can tell, will be checking Kalour's website to see if they are there. Even so, the set is very reasonably priced and I foresee using these enough that buying the sets won't be that inconvenient as I'll be using these pencils quite often.I also ordered Kalour's 50 piece Pastel Colored Pencil set at the same time as this and will be leaving a review on that product as well.Summary - great set of pencils, very nice range of colors, really good quality, and very reasonably priced. I will be buying more of these in the future.Happy Coloring!

Metallic Colored Pencils
First, five stars for the packaging. The trays are designed so that you can press on the closed end of the pencil and the sharpened end pops right up. The upper tray has finger grips, then the bottom tray has string handles to lift it right out.The four stars are for the fact that as soon as I was coloring the included color chart card, I noticed that they must have a metallic color added to a regular color, because I can see a separation between the two. The color sent actually metallic. For instance, the first color, sand yellow, I can see yellow streaks and gold streaks. I tried to color heavily to burnish the paper but nothing changed. This is my first set of metallic colored pencils, so, maybe that’s how they all are? Maybe someone could tell me.

Nice pencils for price
I bought these as I am just doodling around with coloring books so I wanted to buy a bigger set than my 12 piece Faber Castell metallic pencils. Here is my honest review:Pros:The pencils come in this tin with 2 shelves. They are in numerical order right to left - this was odd for me as I am used to left to right. There is a card with spaces/boxes with the numbers corresponding to the pencils that you can use to see what color each pencil is on paper. That is a nice touch. The colors really show the metallic of each pencil on any paper I have used so far - from cheap copy paper to cardstock. I have not tried them on black or colored paper, so I cannot say how they do on that paper. They blend decently, and I also use a blending pencil to smooth the color into the tooth of the paper.Overall, I enjoy these pencils.Cons:I have not found any cons yet.I have no relations to any Amazon employee or seller. I do not own any stock in either Amazon or the seller. This review is my honest opinion of the product I purchased with my own money.

Wow!
I was disappointed at first because of the difficulty to get a soft swatch but then I sharpened all of them and changed my mind. I filled out the color sample card and found I also needed to change how I use them: don't press too hard to get the full color, it's much better to use a steady hand and build the color up. I didn't find them vibrant, instead they are in beautiful muted shades that have a subtle sheen. Some of the colors are so similar you might think there are duplicates but they are all different. The outside pencil color matches the inside hue pretty much spot on.I bought them to use on shrink plastic and was delighted at the result. I made a plastic sample card to see how dark they would be when reduced and they are beautiful. All 50 colors look great and all had a slight metallic shimmer.

Nice pencils, broken in poor shipment
The many color choices are nice, but some tips were broken and the tin dented due to lousy shipping. The hinge on the tin case doesn’t work due to damage during shipping.
