This is water-based - any paint from Dulux Quick-Dry range (eggshell, satinwood & gloss) is water-based.

Would this be suitable to do up a beech effect laminate bookcase? If so, would i need to prime first?

Hi There, we would recommend you use a preparatory product called Difficult surfaces primer. This works as an adhesion promotor. After this has been used QD Satin can be used over the top.

Can I use it on copper central heating pipes ? ( Obviously when the system is completely off and cool )

To be honest I NEVER undercoat radiators or copper pipe. I haven't for 30 years! My dad told me just to gloss them, that's what I have always done.

Well,I think fingermarks will wash off ok.As it's paint,it should do.It's very good paint,no odour,and drys very quick.No streaks.

Brilliant paint

Really love this paint. Self undercoating saving loads of time. Goes on nice and smooth, not too thick not too thin. Dries quickly with a lovely sheen with no horrible brush marks. Just bought some more!

Pretty good, maybe drys a bit to fast

The paint went on OK. however it didn't spread that easily and it seemed to dry very quickly. Make sure your radiator is off if you are painting the sill above like I was. I painted already primed widow sill. The coverage and thickness was OK, a 2nd coat was just about needed and does look better for it. The 2nd coat was a bit easier to apply. It dried very quickly. Brushes were really easy to clean, barely any smell. The finish is good as far as I'm concerned, only time will tell how well it wears. I'd worry about how easy it would be to paint something bigger like a door.

Great !

Amazing. No smell and 2 coats was enough .First coat looked bad so I was very surprised that 2 coats did the trick like they say on the box , I wish they had more collors as I would like one sage for the kitchen
