Brilliant, but need removing when they can get it ...
Brilliant, but need removing when they can get it their mouths as a string chewer could crack their back teeth. Best ordering a size that is large for ten so they chew with back teeth only in the side.Buy my dogs love them and they come off in small soft wood prices not sharp wood sticks so if swallowed be no problem. A safer option to bones and the dogs like them. Plus they last months!!Always have a few around and give the smaller piece to my friends poodle with a smaller mouth so win win :9)

Perfect for a chewy Labrador puppy
I bought this crew root for my 26kg, 6 month old, labrador puppy. I bought the medium sized one and it's just the right size. She's had it for over a week now and it only shows minimal signs of damage, only teeth marks (visible next to her red Kong Toy for size comparison) and it hasn't crumbled to nothing. Has kept her busy for hours every day. When it does finally wear down to something that's too small I'll happily get another one.

Uncertainty is scary
The chew is great. I got it for my puppy while he’s teething and he seems to like it very much! However, when you have a new pup or any dog for that matter it’s nice to know if something is safe. My pup managed to get a few very small pieces off straight away. Worried he may do this again and eat the flakes that came off, it I was quick to return to the listing to check the type of wood to ensure it would be safe in the off chance he eats some. But there was no info on the wood. This desire to guard a ‘secret’ of what tree or wood it comes from is so weird to me. I’m not going to set up a tree farm any time soon and farm roots. I just want to make sure my dog is safe.

Dog loves it & takes ages to get through 👍🏻
This is our 2nd one of these & our dog loves it 🐶 my only complaint is that they stain everything for the first wee while so make sure it’s used somewhere you don’t mind......our pale grey carpet was badly marked by it when it was new but this does stop through use so it’s maybe a preservative coating or something that wears off after a short while? 🤔 still a good item that keeps a chewing dog busy & cleans his teeth in the process 👍🏻

Good for chewers
Really good and tough quality tree root which does not splinter when the dogs chew it. I dont worry about leaving them alone with these because they do not splinter and also are good to help clean the teeth. Good for dogs who like to chew.

had a love of chewing wood
My labcollie cross, had a love of chewing wood! Once he had chewed off the bark, and a nobbly bit, this chew root has seemed to stop shrinking now. My lad goes and fetches it out of his basket when the urge to chew hits. We smeared it with peanut butter, not a lot to sometimes get him interested in it, if i need to distract him from the evil postie, works a treat ;)

A bit expensive but worth it !
My large breed puppy loves chewing sticks so I bought this chewroot to see if it would keep her amused when she's lay outside on the grass. She still has her puppy teeth, there are lots of teeth marks but very little damage so far. I was a bit reluctant to spend so much on a small piece of wood but I think it will last a very long time and my pup doesn't seem to get bored of it like some of her other toys.I'm sure my adult dogs would love it too but I can't afford to buy one for each of them unfortunately. If your dog like chewing wood they should really like these chewroots.

Dangerous splinters.
I was extremely disappointed with the product. I have seen these before and they looked really good. I liked the idea of my dog being able to chew without much risk of injury. Unfortunately as you can see in the pictures bits splintered off when she was chewing and these were extremely sharp and solid splinters. Luckily i was keeping a keen watch and took it straight off her. This could have been extremely dangerous and seriously injured my dog. Would not recommend at all.
