not support Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 and strange behaviors when handset is out side of base station and signal are lost.
The phone not have Smart Connect for Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 The phone handset have a problem with reconnect to base functionality. Re-connection is too slow if signal between base and handset are lost for some period of time. Display stop work and re-connection is slow and hard operation for user. But I like it, because my hope is not dead and I believe that at the end Panasonic will fix problems and send as new firmware with Re-connection fix.

Well made, works well - Smartphone connect is killer feature (Android and iPhone)
Generally please with this phone. Smartphone connect, it's best feature, allows you to answer calls using a App on your mobile (Android and iPhone) via your home Wi-Fi. This will only work while you are at home connected to your local network. I did not buy the phone for this feature but it has proved very useful. I bought the phone because it allows you to transfer your contacts from your mobile phone. I have an Android Nexus 5 running Lollipop (5.0) and this worked well. The phone feels well made. Going back to a none touch screen interface and normal keys feels very retro and inefficient for setting up. My previous answer phone had physical buttons on the base unit and would flash if a new message arrived. I miss these and find retrieving messages by having to go through a menu structure on the phone at lot less slick. The phone can be made to beep continuously for a new message but if you are in the house and busy this soon becomes too annoying. You can customise ring tones for groups of people you set up from your address book. Extra hand sets are very expensive. I failed to get my old BT DECT handsets to register with this Panasonic base.

Quality look and feel
The best cordless phone available.... especially the hands free facility. The way it links to my mobile form is helpful.

Nothing in English!!
I was expecting a product that catered for the main European languages but this is only in German. Even the pre-programmed voices on the phone are in German with no option for English (only for menu text language). Also the box didn't have a UK rated BT plug either. The thing is usable but it's a bit annoying that the product is aimed solely at the German market. They need to flag that up as there were other options available that had I known I would have chosen. Just a bit annoyed really but there are bigger things in life to worry about!

Nice handset,easy menus
Like this handset, sits nice in the hand and very easy to navigate the menus. My wife works constant night shift and being able to put it on night mode and select the on and off time is great,as well as nominating certain numbers to bypass the night mode in emergencies. The only criticism I have is the smartphone connect app,I found the signal to my mobile was breaking up a bit which put me off just using one handset and relying on the app to other mobiles about the house so I decided to by KX PRWA10 extension handset for the bedroom which has been good.I would definitely recommend these phones

Absolute garbage
Quality of construction is a joke. Flexes badly when trying to access menus - you have to keep pressing buttons to get the thing to work properly which frustrates you to the point of hammering the keys. Menu system is a bloody joke, very counter-intuitive. Negotiating through the menu is horrendous and good luck trying to press the right key. What a horrible phone to use. Had the gigaset prior to this which was not perfect but it was a damn sight better than this, much more so. My advice is keep well clear. Had this for less than a year and already changing for another phone. It doesn't even deserve the one star.

Really increases the value of your landline
The KX-PRW120 phone and extension handset are a very useful addition to my home network. Here are some of my experiences: 1) The base unit can be configured as a wireless extender with about 7 keystrokes. This added at least two bars in the master bedroom side of my house. I also now have effective coverage where I like to sit outside on my deck, so among other things I can now answer the landline from there. 2) This unit replaced a "wireless" phone I had previously installed. Removing that obsolete hardware really cleaned up my wireless network a lot. 3) I placed the base station where it was more effective as a wireless extender and the extension handset where I previously had the base. Everything useful on a daily basis can be accomplished from the Smartphone Connect app or the extension handset. 4) The Smartphone Connect app effectively integrates my wireless phone with my landline, which was previously an irritating, expensive, useless annoyance. My wireless service goes out occasionally where I live, so I have to have the landline for emergencies. Now I can choose which service I want from the app screen and use the same contact list. Although contacts can be selectively downloaded to the phone, each of the 4 possible smartphone users can have their own private contact list. The only thing is that all of the phone numbers must be stored with the country code, "1" in the USA, so that they are compatible with the landline. 5) The Smartphone Connect app has a "hold" button, so you can answer the landline, put it on hold, and pick up with another device. If it's an annoying sales call it can be left on hold forever :) Here are some things that would improve the Smartphone Connect app: 1) There needs to be support for Windows 10, on both the Intel and Windows Phone (ARM) chip sets. Currently only Android and IOS are supported, 2) The app can be used on both and iPhone and an iPad. You have to indicate that you don't want only iPad apps. The app works great on a iPad, except, at least on IOS 9.2, the display doesn't rotate. You have to hold the iPad in portrait orientation.
