Very useful for soldering and joining wires

These work ok but they're a little on the small side, my own fault for not double checking the sizes before purchase, they save the faff of soldering manually, and then applying heat shrink, however, to get the solder to melt requires a bit more heat than standard heat shrink and sometimes this causes the tubing to split around the solder joint meaning you have to apply heat shrink anyway.

Made life so so much easier with these putting wires to what a clever little bit of kit very low melting resistance like dont keep a flame 🔥 on it it will set on fire good value for money and feels wellmade and definitely does the job they heat shrink and glue the wires in place and melt solder for a solid connection.

got this to repair a laptop charger that my dog chewed through the lead, worked a treat and with shrink wrap over it it looks pretty neat, connection seems good.

Loved the idea for these connectors ...... but had trouble trying to make them work. The solder ring just didn't seem to work for me unless excessive heat was applied and then plastic surround distorted. When I did get one to work I took it apart and I didn't consider it a very reliable joint.I've resorted back to the old fashioned method of twistingvthe wires together, soldering and then heat shrink. At least I trust the mechanical and electrical connection.

the solder ring doesnt fully melt under a hot air gun that isnt form a hot air station with really high temperatuers however the solder paritally melts and the adhesive forms a really good seal.these are brilliant if you dont have enough space or time to heat shrink things and want to make it water tight. good bit of kit to have on hand as a technician.
