Fender Eric Clapton - Complete Clapton. (Guitar Recorded Versions)

I bought this book for the simple reason that I wanted to learn the song my wife and I danced to on our wedding night. A lone street musician sitting just one street down from Bourbon street New Orleans playing as we walked up. He asked if we where newlyweds, and we answered that we had gotten married only a few hours earlier. He played "Wonderful Tonight" And we danced in the street, that was our wedding waltz. He had wanted to play that song for newlyweds for a long time, and finally he got to play it. When he heard it was our first dance as a married couple, he seemed even more flattered and happy... I have always loved that song, but since that night I wanted to learn to play it. I love that song more now then ever and am now learning to play it on the guitar thanks to this book. The list of songs is long as my arm, and the notation and tablature makes it understandable even for me a complete novice on the guitar. It will take me a long time to learn any of Claptons songs. Time I have, and now thanks to this book. I have the tablature, the lyrics and notation. A great book for any Clapton fan.

All the songs you could want, all correct. What more could you want? I'm am a Clapton fan and I am impressed at the accuracy of the transcription.

This book was fantastic. It had much more material than I anticipated. Music for all the songs on the best of Clapton album. All the guitar parts are displayed in great detail.

I am new to lead electric guitar but have been playing acoustic for more than 10 years. I really wanted to get up to speed so I thought that I needed to 'master' EC first before moving further. And having bought this book, yes it is highly accurate and packed with all cream, derek and EC songs...it is very educational, I have gotten 5 songs down in 2 months. For beginners, to maximize this, one really needs youtube (guitar cover for the particular song you want to learn) and/or the audio track on hand. Pick a section (and I've learned one has to learn the solo's one section at a time), listen or watch, read tab, copy the lick, try again, listen or watch again, then repeat until you get it down. I've always been in awe of lead guitarists even in cover bands, but I've learned that you need to do it again and again (listen, read, cop, repeat, practice), no secrets to this. 4 stars since the binding may come off soon, the book is thicker than normal, so the book binding is a bit week.

Like the namesakes' music, the content of this songbook looks challenging. As a beginner, it is way over my skill level but I will have fun trying.

Book came within a few days. Very good, tab book, didn't cost a whole lot. This book has a good deal of songs in it, weather you're a big Clapton fan, like classic rock or just want some good guitar songs to help you learn guitar better

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I ordered this book, but to my astonishment, it was a compilation of Eric's music in a form I didn't expect. Knowing Eric Clapton can't read music, (or couldn't) I can't imagine the work, combined with technology, he poured into getting this music down on paper. I don't read music, nor do I have any musical talent... but I will never part with this collection. It is almost like having a piece of his soul.
