Love this game!
Namiji is a fun game with gorgeous artwork. The game just feels high-quality with lots of fun components. Simple in that once you play the game through once, you really won't need to refer back to the instructions again- very straight forward but engaging game play and design. I really enjoy the "last player goes first" aspect of the gameplay- this keeps it interesting and fun. Moves fairly quickly without a lot of waiting around for other players to complete their turn but still manages to feel relaxing. Some strategy involved, but not in a stressful way. I believe it is a good value for your money and quickly became one of our favorites! It was enjoyed by ages 6, 8, and adult.

Namaji: A must have for game nights
I absolutely love Namaji! It’s super easy to learn. You can introduce it to friends and family without a lengthy explanation, ensuring everyone can jump right in and have fun. The game's design is visually appealing, with vibrant artwork that enhances the overall experience. The mechanics encourage strategic thinking while still being accessible, making each round exciting and engaging. Whether you’re looking for a game to play with your partner or a larger group, Namaji fits the bill perfectly.

Standalone sequel that's even better than Tokaido
We love Tokaido and were excited to try this. We love this even better. To be clear, it's not an "expansion" - you do not need to own Tokaido to play this, although some familiarity with that game may speed up learning this game. There's a little extra complexity, but in ways that enhance the game and make it more exciting without making it too hard. We've played 2-4 players and games take 30-40 minutes consistently once everyone knows the rules. We've played with as young as 7 years old and it's gone fine - minimal reading is needed. Like Tokaido, all of the game parts are absolutely beautiful and we're quite pleased with the quality of everything. This is a wonderful new classic that I've started enthusiastically recommending to family and friends.

Successor to Tokaido.
Solid successor to the classic Tokaido board game! Instead of walking to…Tokaido, in Namiji you’re fishing! The goal of the game, like Tokaido, is set collection, but with fish and crustaceans. A great “zen” ( i.e. relaxing) game!

Go fishing in a new way
Discovered this game a few years ago at a friend's game night, but I didn't get a chance to play it. A couple years later at my own game night I finally got to enjoy it. Bought it almost immediately after that. Have played it multiple times since. It's a little tough for smaller kids (under say 8) to follow, but a great game that employs some strategy along with some randomness and competitiveness to make it all quite an enjoyable game involving a lot of fish.

Beautiful game, easy to learn
This is a fun game similar to Tokaido. It is an easy to learn strategy game. If playing a 2-player game, you will use 3 pawns and whoever is in last place controls the 3rd pawn. You need to plan your moves in order to land in certain spots on the board. You can control the pawn to block your opponent or your pawn. This was fun as a two player game, but it would be more fun as a 3-4 player game. In a 3-4 player game you would not be the player directly causing problems for your spouse / significant other. I recommend this game and would not hesitate to give it as a gift to all levels of gamers.
