Very strong line watch your knots

This is the only leader line that don't snap while fishing at tippy dam. I have used many leader lines and this one is the best. It's so great we use it for all of our leader line check out photo almost every size.

Bought the 15lb. for fly fishing leader tippet...using for Puget Sound coho salmon. These fish average perhaps 5-6 lbs. and are not particularly leader shy. It's was my first fluorocarbon purchase. I came to love the stuff for how abrasion resistant it is and how it's practically invisible in water. I've since purchase all other sizes from 4lb to 25lb and build all my sinking tapered leaders (keep in mind fluoro sinks more readily than monofilament) with it for many species and fly types. It has never failed me...which is pretty freakin' amazing.

I bought the 6lb and 4lb lines because they match the same diameter of 4x and 5x tippet. I was fed up with buying tippet every month as I spend around 150 days on the water each year. I reused my tippet spools and put this fluorocarbon on them. This fluorocarbon seems has increased my catch rate. I have tested it out at some very pressured waters I frequent and have caught more than usual. I even spent a 3 days switching between two poles with the exact same setups, leader length, flies, and technique. I would fish for 20 minutes on the pole with this fluro and then use the pole setup with the tippet I normally use. Over those 3 days of testing, I caught 34 fish. 21 with this fluro and 13 on my usual setup. This is now my go to for my tippet needs and I have also built my own leaders using this brand as well.

Using and comparing 4 brands of 6 lb. fluorocarbon, with well over 40 silver salmon landed, i did find this Seaguar STS, better than the Seaguar blue 6 lb. However for the best bang for your buck, and a ever so slightly lesser quality, is the Berkley Vanish. For a few bucks more, you get 5 times the line per spool. Maxima is the most expensive,and most invisible than them all, but after 2-3 hard fighting fish, it's streached out and breaks off easy....soooo you have to change out the line more often at considerable expense.

Product appears to be extremely high quality. I am very anxious to get back to the Salmon River in upstate New York and get into a fight with some King Salmon and some acrobatic steelhead.

Great line for steelhead leaders

I've used this line for the last 4 months before doing this review . I bought the 12lb spool Its supple enough to tie advanced knots without kinking and tests 12-15lbs under stress In the water, the fluro just disappears But with ANY BRAND fluro , if you fish it in dirty water a few times, its not invisible anymore Very happy and great bang for the buck
