compact & bright with excellent build quality and a long lasting rechargeable battery
I don't write many reviews, but I've been using this flashlight for 3 weeks now and this thing is awesome. I've used it so far for dog walks and a short power outage. Admittedly, it's probably overkill for my use cases, but I never know when I'll NEED something like this...so I'm glad I have it. The low brightness settting is just bright enough for my use. Medium is practically perfect - cars no longer blow through stop signs when I'm out for a walk. And the high setting will light up my neighborhood sidewalks for almost an entire block. The build just feels solid and well-made. Beam cannot be focused, but that isn't needed for a flashlight this bright. The battery is fantastic too. I used it for about 5 hours total in various brightness settings before a recharge was needed. It probably wasn't necessary, but I bought a spare SL-B50 just in case and because it was so reasonably priced. I highly recommend this flashlight.

Quality is great and man is it bright!!
Quality is great and man is it bright!! The unit is compact enough to be pocketable with most pants, but not so small as to be hard to handle, perfect size. The pocket clip is super convenient, love this feature. In fact it is so bright, than I cant use it in some close-up cases, the light will reflect back and temporarily blind you. I really like that it is USB chargeable, that is super convenient over a dedicated cradle charger.

Solid EDC light
Design is great. Easy, water resistant access to the battery. The 10 tap button function is interesting and does it's job. Super bright and matches it's counterpart that is mounted. Includes compact carry case as well to add to your belt. I've had it for a month and the battery is still running a great charge. Well worth.

Bright, and rechargable!!
Awesome flashlight!! Prior experience with Streamlight. This one is bright!! A little bigger than my older EDC flashlight, but being bright and rechargeable, I can overlook the size. Still fits in my pocket. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Prior experience with Streamlight and very durable.

Big battery and reflector head for big output
Another reviewer tried to express just how big the ProTac 2.0 is compared to Streamlight’s prior compact EDC torches. While the effort is greatly appreciated, for some reason the difference in size doesn’t fully translate. I was still surprised to see its actual size when it arrived today.Hopefully my photos, when combined with other reviews and their photos, will give you a full and complete impression of its actual size, eliminating any surprises.Torches, from top to bottom: ProTac 90, ProTac 2L, ProTac 2L-X, ProTac HL-X, Sidewinder Aviator, ProTac 2.0 (new).Batteries, from top to bottom: CR123, AAA, AA, 18650, SL-B50 (new, for ProTac 2.0).Last photo: ProTac HL-X on the left, ProTac 2.0 on the right. The ProTac 2.0 is equal to, or larger, in every dimension compared to the ProTac HL-X (mine is a 2-cell version). As for the torch itself, I can’t speak to its objective brightness but it’s clearly brighter than all of my other Streamlights. It’s easily bright enough to cause momentary blindness even on a sunny day, giving you one more weapon to use for escape or evasion. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Streamlight and it has TenTap programming to customize the activation order. My purchase was for the retail, boxed version that included just the torch, battery, USB-C charging cable and nylon belt pouch. Clearly, Streamlight cares about the total ownership experience, as they built their batteries with USB-C ports rather than MicroUSB. Lesser brands often use the latter to save a nickel, forcing you to carry a MicroUSB cable despite all of your stuff using USB-C for the past 5 years. As for the size, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea as it outsizes even the HL-X. If that sounds like your situation, but would rather not compromise on brightness, Streamlight offers the 1800 lumen MegaStream to top out their MicroStream and MacroStream lineup. You may have to compromise a little on the beam width and distance, due to the MegaStream’s smaller head and reflector, but its total brightness and output should be a very close second to the ProTac 2.0 in performance while being a more familiar size that’s easier to pocket.I hope this helps those on the fence because of its size.

Still Deciding if I like it
The quality is there in spades and I already have two TLR-1 HL Streamlights mounted on shotguns, but not sure if I really like this light. It's more than bright enough with 2k lumens and the field of view is great. The battery has great endurance and is easy to recharge; really a plus. It has three options for light intensity (hi and low) and strobe, albeit a bit awkward to program/operate.So what's my problem liking it? Aside from the instructions, which are so small that they are best viewed online, maybe it's the size. It's 6 inches long and while I have large hands, it's hard to operate with one hand. Not impossible, but awkward. Compounding that are the three protrutions at the rear where the control button is. What is their function? Possible they can be used as a striker, but why the two holes in one ear? Lanyard? Those "ears" sure make it hard to operate one-handed with your thumb. To me, this is a small flashlight (a tweener) that is neither compact nor large. Once on, it is a nice size to hold yet too large to operate one-handed. It can be adapted for a gun mounted system with an integral port for remote operation, which is nice, but there are better options imo. I'm still trying to like this lite.

Incredible Flashlight
I used Streamlights when I was on the fire department and I love them. They are solid and reliable. I wasn’t necessarily in the market for a flashlight when I came across this, but it was a Prime Day deal and it doesn’t hurt to have another flashlight available. The slide on the handle supports charging of the battery while it’s in the flashlight or you can swap it out, which gives you flexibility. It’s lightweight and balanced and supports three modes: high, low, and flash. Battery life is incredible considering the brightness of the light. That said, without the Prime Day discount, it can be expensive. I’ll get another one when it’s on sale for the car.
