KlickFixAccessories Handlebar Adapter for Stem, Black, One Size

I bought the basket for my bike in Germany, with and upright handlebar mount. Then I came home and fixed up my other bike for riding long distances. Two bikes one basket, I did not want to keep changing the mount just so I could carry my favorite basket. This Klikfix allows me to mount my basket on both bikes. Also, the configuration of my revised bike handlebar required that I mount the fitting onto the vertical stem of my handlebar assembly. The way this connects to the handlebar stem and extends out past my cables met the needs of the revised bike. Now, I can carry my tools, spare tire, extra lights, and a jacket for cooler days in the basket whichever bike I choose to ride. So happy this is available in the US.

I bought this to mount on my touring bike so the handlebar bag wouldn't be on the handlebars (to free up space for other stuff) but a little lower on the vertical tube but still high enough to easily read the map on top of the bag. It puts the bag out far enough to clear the cables so the top opens and closes without hitting the handlebar or anything. It is very, very solid and sturdy but a little heavy at about 8 ounces. I bought one for my touring bike, then one for our touring tandem, and then one for the kid's bike. This works so much better than the cable around the handlebar that many bags attach with, and is perfect for a folding bike where the handlebars either fold or disassemble for travel.

I love the KLICKfix system. I own three baskets, but mostly use the smaller, wire basket. When I bought a new bicycle, I needed an extender because my brake cables were very stiff and long. This allowed me to keep using my baskets.

Works very well to hold a bag below the handlebars, thus allowing space on the bar for a light, bell, and computer. The bag remains high enough to be accessible.
