I bought one for my sister & she has had a week to try it out. She does not have Carpal Tunnel but over a year ago she fractured her thumb joint right where it connects to her hand & has had excruciating, crying all night, white knuckled pain just moving her thumb...long past the point when the doctor says it is healed & she should be pain free aside from (minor arthritis).She was given a clumsy stiff metal filled brace that she has given herself facial bruises behind and is actually more painful to wear & causes it to swell even more.As an artist attempting to hold onto a paint brush, or coffee, gently squeezing the toothpaste, or any number of daily activities that involve gripping grabbing squeezing lifting... Being in the middle of a 2 year long, one room at a time, house repair with a hand that can't tolerate bumping & a joint that is still 3x the size of the others has been beyond challenging.I had spent several weeks online researching styles of compression sleeves & had almost given up finding one that had this style of thumb support without being an actual glove, 100's of images in google but non-functional links so I was delighted to find these on amazon although wary of what we might receive by way of quality.OMG the first night she actually slept the night through & the week of wearing it most of the time has given her 70 to 80% reduced pain. the compression is perfect, her swelling is way down & there is no bulk to get in the way, she says it keeps her joints warm enough without making her hand sweat.We are both so thrilled with the results I just ordered 3 more... my daughter, who has similar issues from an old hand to wrist injury & as a bookkeeper can't really wear a brace while typing, will get one of these to try.Edit 6/29/17: 3rd purchase- Ordered 3 more, gave 2 away as gifts & kept one for myself -Still impressed with the quality & I have referred several friends with similar hand, tendon, nerve & arthritis issues.My sister is elbow deep in dirt & gardening these days so she hand washes these & rotates them... Keeping one nice one in the box for dressier occasions & these are close fitting so she can still wear bracelets & not feel too conspicuous.My daughter is equally pleased with these & really appreciates not having to wear the stiff braces that are so restrictive.

What this IS: a graduated compression stocking for your wrist only.What this is NOT: not a brace, not immobilizing, not for your thumb, and not something that will work if it’s the wrong size.These are supposed to be tight. If it’s loose, it’s not working. Measuring and getting it right is really important, or else it’s just a sock. Please learn about graduated compression and how to use it before trying something like this.I broke my wrist about 5 years ago, and recently strained it again and the old injury is hurting again. I’m in constant pain for about 3 weeks now. I’ve been wrapping it with a sport wrap to get enough compression to stop the pain without making it worse, which is hard. I’ve used graduated compression stockings for years to control leg pain since my car accident, so I hoped this would help my wrist as well.After wearing this glove overnight, I woke up not in pain this morning for the first time in weeks. The graduated compression for my wrist was EXACTLY what I needed. It provides just enough pressure to stop the pain and remind me not to turn my wrist in a way that will make it worse. I also have been wearing it underneath the immobilizing brace during the day, as it makes the brace about 10 times more comfortable.As someone who has used a lot of compression stockings for my legs for years and know the ups and downs, I’m impressed with the quality, comfort, and effectiveness of this compression product for the wrist.This NOT an immobilizing brace. It’s a graduated compression glove. If you need a graduated compression glove for your wrist, this is wonderful.If you have a new injury or fracture, you might need an immobilizing brace, and this is not that. This is something to wear under one of those braces if compression is also needed.I just see all these reviews where people were choosing the wrong tool for their needs and getting mad and leaving 1-star reviews because of their own ignorance and error. It’s not the hammer’s fault if what you really needed was a screwdriver! Would you leave 1-star reviews for a hammer because it couldn’t turn a screw? No, because that’s not what a hammer is for. Choose the right tool, you’ll be much happier with the result.If you need a brace, get a brace. If you need graduated compression for your wrist that won’t hurt your fingers, get THIS. It’s perfect, it really is, and I’m ordering several more.

The brace was comfortable, good compression and support on the wrist. Unfortunately it was not helpful for my thumb pain. The finger support and compression was not strong and the thumb support fabric was not as long as shown in the picture.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! My thumb has bad tendinitis and arthritis at the base of my thumb and wrist. It gets so painful at work it's hard to type. I have other wrist braces but they are bulky. I can't type at work. This keeps my hand flexible to type and provides a nice compression. So soothing to my thumb and wrist. Truly a godsend.

If you have smaller wrists like me this isn’t gonna go much. It’s a good fit on the hand and thumb and forearm. However there’s extra fabric in the wrist so it doesn’t provide compression there… where I need it. Other quality is good

I bought this mainly to support a thumb with a torn tendon, but i also have carpal tunnel, ganglion cyst and severe arthritis in my hands. i figured even it it didnt cover my thumb like the product picture shows it would still be helpful. It actually does come far up enough to cover the joint under my thumbnail where i needed it to cover but it also is extremely helpful for all the other problems also. It is made well and of very firm expandable fabric not some thin stretchy jersey like some are made. it also does not limit finger movement either. only one thing i found that i didnt like. i ordered a medium even tho i have small hands...either i need to go to a large or i just am not used to how firm it holds. I am ordering a 2nd one but i think i will stick to the medium as the firmness does seem to help. well made product worth the money..PS- i cant imagine even a size 'large' fitting a man's hand unless they are extremely small...be forewarned.

Pain relief, comfortable, easy to wear and supportive, reasonable price

Lightweight, & easy to get on. I know these are a little more expensive than other wrist supports but these have been the best. They support my thumb & wrist very well, and the fabric feels soft. I got a large and they are a great fit. The material is also quick drying if you wanted to use them when doing water sports like I do.

I've tried a few of these because I need some extra support for my thumb post surgery. It's a nice compression right where I need it for the swelling (4 mo the post surgery). I can wear it under my firm brace for extra protection instead of having to tensor it every time. I was happy with the wrist compression also as they took a ligament out of my wrist. I have found cheaper ones comparable to this in the past but I'm ok with the price point for what I got. I tried other brands off Amazon and sent them back. This is the only one I wear. I'm an average 5'5 female and the medium fits well.
