Good wet grass shoe
The Muck Boot Muckster Ll Men's Rubber Garden Shoes do well for what they were designed to do: keep your feet dry in wet grass. I have not had mine long enough to determine whether they will hold up over time. But I have some first impressions:1. Since there are no half sizes, the buyer will have to decide whether to buy a half size down or a half size up. I normally wear either a 10 1/2 or 11. I bought the 11, and they are a little roomy for me. I had an good quality pair of insoles sitting around, and I put them in these Muckster shoes to get me a little more arch support as well as help with the roominess. They had been moving slightly up-and-down in the back as I walked. The insoles took care of that problem. I suspect over time that problem would diminish anyway as the shoes break in and conform to my feet better.2. For a pair of rubber/neoprene shoes, these are surprisingly comfortable. It is possible to wear them around the house without your feet feeling overly hot and sweaty. One would have thought that these would quickly cause your feet to sweat, but that is not the case. Even so, I would not even attempt to hike in them on a hot day. I have a pair of GTX hiking boots and GTX sneakers that provide waterproof hiking and walking. So, these shoes for me are just for walking in the wet early morning grass when I take the dogs out.3. The tread is much better for walking on fresh cut grass than most of the shoes that have provide a good gripe because it does not pick up a lot of grass and mud. I keep a stiff bristle brush next to my sliding door to go back into my house in order to clean the glass and mud off of my shoes. There is not much grass and mud on these even after walking in very wet early morning grass.4. I noticed that the tread was a little slippery when walking on my vinyl kitchen flooring when I first walked around with them indoors. But that issue seems to have disappeared after a couple of days.5. The opening is small. Some reviewers have complained about that. However, I have been able to step into them without resorting to bending down and using my finger to keep the backs up as my feet slide in. So, I have not had any issues with the smaller than normal opening. The natural flexibility allows my feet to slide in.All-in-all, I like these shoes. They can be stepped into and worn out when the grass is wet without getting the socks wet. That is why I bought them.

Waterproof and Comfortable
Husband has been looking for waterproof shoes for gardening. He likes these! Says they are comfy.

Comfortable Once On, but Difficult to Put On Due to Narrow Opening
I purchased these shoes in a size 10 and found that they have a narrow opening, making them somewhat difficult to put on due to my ankles being 11 1/2-inches around. Once worn, however, they are quite comfortable. The construction appears to be durable, and they seem to offer reliable waterproofing. I plan to use them for yard work and hope they won’t cause any discomfort around my ankles over time.

Much better than expected
Buy these shoes! At first, I thought they would be too tight to slip on fast and go. I was mistaken. After a couple tries, these have been a huge surprise and very comfortable! I have pretty high expectations and these Muck Boot Muckster shoes are so great that I'm taking the time to write a review. Great walking thru water and mud, and wearing in the shop. I usually just leave them on when I run to the store, etc. Much more comfy than I expected.

Before I tried a pair I always thought these were over-priced
I received a pair as a gift, and wore them year round for almost three years of farming and livestock tending. I used to wear traditional Red Wing work boots most days, but went to a couple of different lesser brand rubber and neoprene calf high boots from Tractor Supply for wet weather and snow. Pretty much everything Red Wing started coming from overseas, so I lost interest in trying to stick with just US products and focused on what works. Because of the great wear I got out of my first pair of these, I bought a new pair, and a pair of calf highs for my son. After about three months of daily wear, his sole started to separate - a common occurrence with all of that boot type that we used to buy from lesser brands, so I contacted Mucks to ask what type of glue to use to effect a repair. They told me not to worry, and sent me out a new pair after I sent them a picture of the damaged sole. Now we seriously USE our footwear; digging with shovels, kicking various things in the dirt, climbing ladders and fences, you name it, so I consider having to buy new or repair boots a simple cost of doing business. The fact that they gave me a new pair so unexpectedly was extremely impressive by itself, but then it got even better. Their customer service rep told me to just keep the boots with the failing sole, so I bought a tube of Shoe Goo and glued it back together. That was almost two years ago, and the new boots are still sitting in their box, waiting for the original pair to wear out or the repair to fail.So good on Muck, they are the only maker of this type of boot that I'll ever buy. And kudos for Shoe Goo for helping me extend the life of many pairs of boots and trainers.

Happy to have made this purchase.
I work in my backyard a lot during rainy weather and decided to buy these since wearing tall boots is not for me. I just needed a shoe that could get dirty and cleaned afterwards. I even wore these one evening with water up to my knees while trying to unplug a street drain and was able to wash them clean. I also wear these out in public in rainy weather. Do not wear these when walking on rocks which was my mistake one day. There is no traction and slipping around will be likely.

Runs narrow
I bought a pair of these 4 years ago. Great gardening shoes! Excellent traction and super comfortable. My only complaint is how quickly the soles wore out. Even so, I bought another pair to replace the tread bare pair. The new ones will be returned. They are way too narrow and too long. Same size as the old ones. They are much stiffer and clearly not as well made as the previous pair. They might be made by “The Original Muck Boot Company” but these are not the original Muck Boots.
